Let me start off by saying my 13-year-old niece told me about this great game. It's not the (stereo)typical type of a game a girl like her plays which drew me in even more. I'm a 33-year-old woman, so it's not the (stereo)typical type of a game for me, either, but I love it because it's fun and there's always something new to learn when dealing with random people in a MMORPG. I've been playing for one week (April 14th was my first day). I haven't played video games in quite awhile (my all-time favorite game is Twisted Metal). Btw, if there are other women here, please say hello! And if there is a dedicated thread for girl gamers, point me in that direction! And if there isn't a dedicated girl gamers thread, can one please be created? I assume this is a boys club, by default, and would like to know if the women are representing.  At the moment, I am in the process of updating my weapons (Molots) to level 5. I started upgrading my robots but remembered that the beginners guide said weapons upgrading is the primary priority. I'm still contemplating on whether to buy gold or not... the last time I played a mobile game and used real money, I regretted it because the devs treated Android players like crap and removed our complaints about the Android disparity from the official game forum. Anyway... here's my profile... still a work in progress, of course. I've started over twice after using gold "incorrectly". I got the Gekko because I thought it was important to have a long-range weapon for Yamantau. It has been quite useful.  |

Welcome, Insane Demon ! You're right to see the place as a largely male population, but I have to give credit where do, I don't see a lot of the "bro" culture juvenility here as you see in some other gaming communities. By no means all of us, but many of us active here skew a little older, which has at least the presumption of maturity.  Please make yourself at home, and if you have any concerns don't hesitate to reach out. Finally, if you find yourself looking at clans at some point, you and your niece might consider Aurora Nova. We've got a few folks in there whose children are in the clan as well. My 6-year-old son, for instance. Great people, tremendous atmosphere and helpful spirit. |

This forum does have a different atmosphere from most, which is great. I listened to some of that round table audio you guys had, and I was pleasantly shocked at how mature you guys are!  And thanks for offering us a spot in your clan, but I'm more of a rogue/solo type of player. I prefer the random unpredictable type of battles. Had one yesterday that we came so close to losing, but the last pilot standing on our team (versus three on the red team) captured a third beacon and defended it until the time ran out and got us the win. I like not knowing if there's a beast/pro on my team and just winning or losing with random players who may know how to win a battle or may not know. My niece doesn't play often. Think she's still below level 10... lol |

Welcome. This forum lends to slightly older gamers (as per the picture thread most males past 30 with beards, myself included) but tends to be friendly.
Some get all wound up over balance issues, but its what youd expect in a game forum, just gotta filter the doom and gloom.
Hope you enjoy your time playing and participating in the community.

Welcome! (Though I am also rather new to be saying this probably). One of these days, War Robots is gonna be termed an old people game.xd But seriously, though I'm in my very early 20s, I rather like the community here, other games are so inundated with weird behaviour.
