I don't really understand how staying with weak robot fights work, can someone just give me a rundown on how it works and how to stay with weak players. Thank You

Generally speaking, it's better to move up as "Weak" mmatches tend to fall prey to Tri Magnum Gepards. There is an Upgrade guide: warrobots.wikia.com/wiki/Upgrading_GuideGenerally speaking, 4/6 light bots until you have 4 slots. Then 8/8 (4/10) light bots, 5/5 (4/6,2/8,1/9) medium bots until you have 5 slots and 4 Orkans. Then 9/9 Heavy/Wsp/Au bots until top levels of play.

Beyond the general scope of the game strategy (flip & control beacons). You need to deal damage - the most efficient effective way is having your weapons level above you bot level.
General rule as you upgrade, keep you weapons 2 levels above bot level. Also spread the weapon upgrades around. Do not level 1 bot then move to the next. Rotate the upgrades through each bot - balancing each other.
Also, dont know what your hanger looks like, but you want to put coordinating weapons on you bot. Weapon ranges & reload times are 2 common factors around your weapon load out.
Hope that helps & look at the guides in the wiki as tin suggested. There are other guides as well.

I read the guide and it helped a lot thanks, but I have one question left. If you change from all good heavy bots too weak small bots, will you still be in gold tier or will it move you down?

You move down to a tier appropriate to your hangar

It's a lot of fun moving down to weak small bots.
I am not talking seal clubbing. I have a hanger of 1/3 Gua destriers and cossacks.

No bs guide of the lower tiers: (rookie) 4/4 lights (low bronze) 4/6 lights (high bronze) 4/9 lights / 4/6 mediums (low silver) 4/12 lights / 4/9 mediums / 6/5 heavies

You find medium bots in low bronze, too. I run 4 light bots 4/6 and I always see Golems, Vits, Pattons and Boas.

I think he's talking about optimised levels for bots and weapons.

this is all completely wrong. i just fought what should have been a rookie fight and someone had a Fury alpha'ing all the light L4 bots.

this is all completely wrong. i just fought what should have been a rookie fight and someone had a Fury alpha'ing all the light L4 bots. it happens, but very rarely. I believe the matchmaker is not as harsh on very low level players, but 4/4 is definitely correct.

Well at least not what I'm seeing. I have Level 2 and 3 Boas and Pattons with Level 7-8s weapons. I'm seeing a lot of Level 6 Griffins, Rhinos, Leos paired with Level 5-8 weapons. I'm also seeing Level 1 Gepards with Level 12 weapons. I'm seeing the above 7 out of 10 matches. We only win if I get paired with 2-3 Players who work as a team and take down heavies or lvl 1 Gepards with lvl 12 mags together otherwise its an absolute slaughterhouse.

As for the heavies with lvl 6-7-8 weapons, if you look at their hangars they will likely have low winrates, which makes them often drop down a tier. If they don't have low winrates, then it is just poor matchmaking, but they definitely belong in high silver.

I've been contemplating selling my Level 3 Boas and stay at Level 2. I have 2x Level 8 AT Spirals which I don't mind shelving and get another 2 Aphids. I'm hoping to get back down to a high bronze. I'm absolutely getting slaughtered by players with full house of lvl 6 gepards or lvl 1 gepards with lvl 12 weapons on a very regular basis.

Ever seen a Golem falling prey to a Destrier? The poor guy didn't even know, what happened. I just wanted to say, it is possible, to run medium bots there.

Here's my hangar. When I win, I'm almost every time in the top three. And my cap-rate is pretty high, too. I do face medium bots almost every fight, but they aren't much of a challenge. Try to use the 4\6 bot\weapon ratio and it should work out fine. P.S.: The Gepard is, kinda like, my last ressort.

Moving down into rookie tier is impossible. The lowest is low bronze.
