I start out good. Im good at games like this. I get thrown into silver 3 and now I'm getting completely owened. I don't pay for boosts or weapons. I'm just going along. However. Now I'm matched up against people who are way op. They kill me no problem I get no au. But yet it doesn't drop me down in league play. What gives? It's killing the fun for me. Don't get me wrong I like a challenge but I'm not paying to play this game. Not like it's paying me. However, I'm playing it so I'm making money for someone but yet I'm getting a shut experience. About to quit. It's bull「dookie」. I like a challenge but not getting my ads handed to me every round. Why make a free game that you lose at constantly. The matchmaking is garbage!

You lose all credibility when you say something like "I'm not paying to play a game it's not like it's paying me."
Companies do not "owe" you free entertainment. Period.

How am I full of shirt when I see these bots weeks ahead of me as far as upgrading goes. I'm still building my robots. The highest level wropn I have is lvl 6 and it's. One of the first ones you get. My workshop 8snt even lvl 5 yet. But I'm tossed in the mix with people that are probably a couple months ahead of me as fa as upgrading and workshop points.

I was at a 2.1 kills per game and 76% wins now I'm down to like 1.3 and less than 50% wins. I see the weapons on the other guys and I can't afford them yet. I just think the game should drop me down to my lvl. Because when I was using the same lvl weapons against people I was better but bow I'm going against people who should be a lot higher than silver 3 imo. I get the strategy but it doesn't matter if you're up against someone with lvl 8 bits and guns and I'm on lvl5. I got noon shut and they have more time in the game than I do. Just seems off to me. I get dropped quick. I'm also a team player. I get becons. And cover my teamates. It's just that we always eem outgunned and outmatched. I've been placed in a league that I'm not supposed to be in just yet and it's making me miss out on the little but of au I feel I should he getting it's not like 3 au I'd much but it's something. But now I'm just losing every match and not even getting that. Anyways I'm done but ching I guess. I'll keep playing and upgrading. I just feel the matchmaking and league leveling needs to be tweeted a little.

wookiespeedball it sounds like you just need to play some more (and unfortunately lose some more) before you're in the right league. The matchmaker is far from perfect, and one of the things that it's flawed at is leveling people out in a quick manner. It takes a long time (longer than it should in many cases) for it to actually get you in a league you belong in. One suggestion, although others may not agree, is to stop going for beacons. You're helping your team win, which is keeping you in the higher leagues, even though you don't truly belong there. While most would applaud your effort, they're disregarding your personal experience of the game. Focus on being part of the fight, using cover and all that good stuff. Focus on damage, and staying alive. You'll earn a little more silver, you'll drop to a league you belong in, and you'll further develop your skills in the process.

Hit me up with a squad invite and we can talk about this game. As well. Psn wookiespeedball.

I do not have PS4. Haven't had the time for console games in years unfortunately. That's one of the things I like most about War Robots is that it's portable, so I can play it in my free time, wherever I may be.

The MM seems to work like this... play the game.. get to doing pretty good for your gear against similar opponents matched up...gain victory % well above 50%. Then start to get the smack down of having harder opponents with higher level stuff. Get back to 50% or less in victory then it levels off and your games are not as hard.
Or at least that's what I have noticed in my own games. I play on android & do 95% random matches without squading.

I've been playing since September and currently lingering around level 9/10 bots and weapons. I got super bored of being mismatched and wondered what I was doing wrong. Having spent more on this game than buying a PS4 with accessories, I wished I'd done a few things differently, so I made another account and applied everything I'd learned about game play and hanger management.
Playing with low level light bots was so much fun. To be able to experiment with weapons and get somewhere with just molots or punishers, without being blown to smithereens, was entertaining. The rewards and challenges were involving and fun. I was matched with very similar players and games were always close (unless the reds hadn't got the hang of beacon collecting...).
I bought my first Gepard, having never bothered before. Initially, he was quick to die and did very little damage. He's a bit more useful with level 5 weapons, but it's clear he's been hobbled.
Due to the MM system, I started to see very unfair matches early on. It didn't happen too often, but started to increase until games were impossible without buying gold at level 20. I was in silver 3 and being matched with level 30 players with 2000+ wins and months worth of upgrades. I simply cannot compete and it has nothing to do with rubbish skills. It seems to be this level the 50/50 win rate in enforced.
I was convinced I'd made the wrong choices in bots, weapons and slots again, so again I created another account and tried to do better. Saved gold, got the best I could early on and kept to 3 slots so I could concentrate on upgrading fewer bots faster. Exactly the same thing happened; level 20, impossible matches.
One gets frustrated and angry and that's the easiest time to get players to part with cash. I refuse to spend any more, so here I linger with each account, tediously taking weeks to get anywhere.
With the level 30 account, the maths just doesn't add up to make it possible to move higher with an enforced 50/50 win rate when I'm the only one hitting beacons. It makes me think that to move up I need to concentrate on damage alone so I'm not getting -18 points when we lose.
Every time I see an update with "yay, we gave you a new paint job!" I think, "who the fk is managing this project?! I bet it's the marketing department Intefering with their sh^^ty ideas!"
But hey, 10 million downloads? Can you imagine what they rake in a month on premium subscription alone, even if the paying gamers were around 4%. They're probably past giving a shi...
($5,121,600 / £4,000,000... in Russia! Pixonic probably own Putin!)

Youre right. However why won't it drop me down so can at least have a chance to play on the same level as I am? You didn't really provide enough information for me to answer that question for you. My assumption is you haven't lost enough games yet to drop down a league. Keep in mind, no matter how bad you're doing, if your team wins you continue rising. @mij I honestly encourage you to try and make a new "dummy" account and try playing your way up for a few days. Play competitively with what you can purchase and by the time you hit lvl 20 you'll experience exactly what wookie is talking about. MM is designed to boost new players out of rookie leagues quickly, once you hit Silver the game experience guess to hell. It's nothing about loss ratio, it's about vultures who have tanked down to silver. The frustration you hear in this thread is an echo chamber of what I said when I related my experience with a "new" account. Seriously, make a new account and play it for a few days and you'll see exactly what I (and others) are taking about.

True new players won't zip through the lower leagues as quickly as I will. They'll experience moderate win rates from the get go and because of that, they won't hit Silver in their first couple of days. A skilled player will win 90+% in those matches and basically fly through the lower leagues as quickly as possible. I'm actually interested in trying it, but it isn't a true test of the new player experience.

The matchmaking system is designed to generate frustration. Frustrated people have four alternatives:
1) Quit (people that Pixonic don't n want because they don't spend money).
2) Spend money. Pixonic becomes happyer.
3) Investigate how to farm and ruin the game to others.
4) Keep suffering till you realize that its just a stupid game and you are wasting precious time of your life trying to have good robots without spending money (when your time its far more valuable than any amount of money).
Then you realize that now you are fat, bald, virgin, live your your dads and the only thing you know is how to play a stupid game.
Sorry for my english.
