Answer is very simple.
You unlock the speed cap which is an absurdity and allow Gepard to go faster at higher levels, and you buff the health.
That should be enough. Yeah, it will stay inferior to Gareth, but for the Gepard to be on the level of the Gareth you would need a very big buff (like speed/ancile), and I don't like the idea personally.

They both cost roughly the same though, yet at this point, a gepard is far inferior to a Gareth. It probably needs a good buff, it's not as if players are still clubbing with Gepards.
Somewhere in an alternate timeline where the old MM was never replaced, both seal clubbers and seals felt a strong disturbance in the force as this thread about buffing gepards was made.

I voted Ancile. In most other aspects it is the same as the Gareth. An Ancile would make it an energy shield version of an unshielded Gareth. And it would make it competitive I think.

Um, what about the option "none of the above"?

Somewhere in an alternate timeline where the old MM was never replaced, both seal clubbers and seals felt a strong disturbance in the force as this thread about buffing gepards was made. Problem when comparing to Gareth, regardless of the buff applied to the Gepard you will not have it at a Gareth's level anyway.
For that to be possible you would need either to make the Gepard to be much faster than the Gareth to balance for the absence of shield (which would imply a Gareth nerf), or to add an Ancile to the Gepard, an option that I don't like at all but would have the merit put the Gepard at a Gareth's level.
So the Gepard will probably always be inferior to the Gareth. Now, still, if at least the speed would be unlocked and HP buffed, it could obviously be a step in the good direction. Inferior to Gareth, sure, but usable, at least.

No buff needed This bot is not intended for top-tier Only thing I would do is change the price , it should not cost the same as Gary

Even with the speed unlocked and a buff in health, Gepard will not be viable, and not even close, to TT.
I really don't understand the "don't touch" crowd. I totally understand people against the idea of adding something big like an Ancile, but unlocking the speed and buffing the HP should really be non-brainers. Giving a purpose to the Gepard is adding diversity to the game. It's not War of Shields here, it's War Robots. Gepard needs to have a decent place into the game also.
I'm all for a Gepard buff, just like I'm fully behind a Rogatka buff. I want to see those robots, not just Gareths and Galahads.

Now, the question is: Do you want to buff only the Gepard, or all robots sufficiently such that they have a role in the game? I want to see a hangar based matchmaking, that allows me to run a squad made up of Cossacks. If robots are valued right, every robot would have a place there. Naturally a Gepard would be valued much less than a Stalker or Gary, but higher than a Destrier. But then no buff is required.
I mean, you can't buff Gepard, Schütze, Destrier, Cossack, Vityaz, Golem to make them all viable in top tier. There are only so many combat roles... It would be much better to introduce new game modes, or to fix the matchmaking.
I would choose "none of the above" because my answer is "buff Gepard only if all the other light and medium robots that are now obsolete receive a buff to make them somewhat viable in some game mode".

Big difference here is that Gepard is a gold robot. Hence the discussions about buffing Gepard and Rogatka.
Of course it is expected that some robots would be more suited for lower tiers, but you are talking about silver robots here, not golds.

I've one Gep sleeping in my hangar. Some hp and speed buff should wake him up to join the battlefield. So I'm voting for A and B, no stealth or ancile needed as long as it can survived longer fighting the reds.

What was the last nerf made to the Gepard? I thought one was made to reduce the seal clubbing power some.

I still run an aphid/gep daily. A bump in speed and hp's would be very helpful. Too much time and money invested not to use it. The last gep/aphid nerf was murderous. With the change in the MM/leagues they should roll back both of those.

My personal opinion is that :
if there is to be a single Matchmaker, without any hangar checks, every single bot in the game should have an useful role from start to the end game. Simple fact.
All these talks about how some bots are for early game and some for endgame i think are sons of the mindset of the old matchmaker, where there were hangar checks that would have placed the bots in their natural habitat.
Now that protected habitats are no more, ALL BOTS needs to have a functional role no matter what is your league placement.
No one should be forced to scrap a bot just because it can't keep up for competition. Because to use these bots one would be forced to tank, and that is very BAD.

No one should be forced to scrap a bot just because it can't keep up for competition. Because to use these bots one would be forced to tank, and that is very BAD. I think this is an excellent principle. One of the consequences of the new matchmaker has been a reduction in hangar diversity, as new players quickly see full heavy hangars and are pushed to gear up to keep up. This has led to the erosion of any semblance of mid-game (what used to be the old high bronze / low silver territory). In the new leagues, everything from bronze up is essentially heavy bot territory. This is essentially a failure of resolution - too much effort is being put on sorting the very high end (expert, masters, champion), at the expense of the mass of low end players. As for the original topic, if the Gepard is going to cost 2500 gold, then it needs to have performance comparable to the Gareth. If Pix is against doing that because of the number of Gepards already in play, then the price should be adjusted to reflect that *and* some opportunity to get a partial refund should be afforded to current Gep owners.

Gepard only costs 1200 AU, far less than a Galahad.
Also, when I started back in January, aGepard was included in the 5$ newbie deal. They are the cheapest and most readily available gold bot.
