Stalker is beacon runner, Trident is mid range weapons. If you want higher chance of beacon caps reward get Stalker, if you want more damage get Trident. Stalker may be replaced by other bots, Trident may or may not be replaced (Zeus and Trebs is very good too but they aren't identical)

Get Tridents. 2 of them along with 2 Pins on a Natasha makes it a staple midranger.

My hangar: -Level 9 raijin with level 5 thunders. -Level 9 fujin with level 7 tarans. -Level 7 carnage with level 8 thunders. -Level 4 Destrier with level 6 aphids (I don't know need to change destrier with what).

If you have a Gareth forget the stalker. The gareth is superior unless you want to have 2 beacon runners.
The Tri-pin Natasha firepower wise is on par if not slightly superior to the TT Fury because of the tridents actually reloading at 11 seconds rather than the advertised 10 seconds and it also takes a couple of extra seconds to finish it's firing cycle.
So really it depends on your needs.

My hangar: -Level 9 raijin with level 5 thunders. -Level 9 fujin with level 7 tarans. -Level 7 carnage with level 8 thunders. -Level 4 Destrier with level 6 aphids (I don't know need to change destrier with what). I'm sorry I missed your hangar post. Damn you just wasted a ton of WSP on those bots.
Replacing the Destrier is priority so again Stalker or Gareth. After that the Raijin is next on the chopping block. If you are saving gold and WSP you can get by for now with tridents on the raijin as your midranger but this is suboptimal or get a Natty with Pins. RDB is also a good midranger option.

I have both Gary and Stalker, but I hardly ever use a Stalker (unless i have a task for light robots so that I choose an all-light hangar). One beacon runner is more than enough in any tier. Trident Molot Natty is also a great build.

I will agree, Stalker to replace Desty asap.
BUT... getting tridents after that is not a bad plan and they will work OK on the Raijin until you get something else. In fact, they would work on the Carny and you could throw the Thunder on the Raijin if you want to see if that fits better. No, Raijin is not the best Thunder bot... by itself. BUT, if it is used in a team/squad environment, it can be very nice if played using its strengths and your teammates for covering your weaknesses. Being that you are in the early stages of the game, however, I think you will find it more daunting to you than to the enemy.
Personally, if you are running solo mostly, Raijin is best used with Zeus and/or Trebs. But again, Tridents will still work.
The main issue with Raijins, BTW, is that it is just not enough firepower to offset the need to be static when the Shield is engaged. And, people will single out a Raijin because, usually, it is an easy to kill pool of HP (which means Ag and/or top damage spot to them). The Carny is MUCH better as a midranger if limited to 2 Heavy spots. My only reason to give you ways to use the Raijin, is that sometimes we, as players, just want to use a certain bot no matter whether it is good or not, and I am all for experimentation.
If you want to do what is MOST effective, only, then yes RDB is a great mid-range option that will be viable all or most of the way up, whereas the Raijin will most likely, not. I wouldn't sell it though, you never know what Pix will buff. That Natty option... 2 tridents and either 2 Pins or Molots, depending on what you want out of it, is a good alternative.

Its like asking "should i buy oranges or tomatoes?" One's a light bot often used to cap beacons (though gary and other cappers now can replace it) The other's a midrange AoE heavy weapon, that can destroy a light bots when used in pairs

I would forget the aphids and slot in the Gareth for the drestler. Then use the WSP to buy Tridents for the Raijin.
Edit. Then put the Aphids and 2 Tarans on a Griffin to Replace the Fujinn

Get Tridents. 2 of them along with 2 Pins on a Natasha makes it a staple midranger. problem is they pin and trident is different range. They are slightly different but you run it like a bot with 500m range. If something is sitting at 550 or so you can tap the Tridents to fire individually. A midrange bot is for supporting the knife fighters not for killing other midrange bots. The extra 100m should not matter because you will be 800-900m from the red midrange bot anyway. I'm not saying don't shoot their midrange guy if he is dumb enough to come close I'm saying it's not your job to hunt him, that's what trebuchets are for.

Trident Molot Natty over Trident Pin Natty. More DPS up close, and you can harass Trident and Zeus builds from 700m out.

I'd get the Trident. Good umph. I've never been impressed with the Stalker.
