Currently using Lancelot(5/6) as my last-stand bot. Seems like that's the trend. Before used to be Carnage (8/9) Yours?

My last stand bot is the last bot in my hangar whatever that maybe. I vary my drops based on the map and whatever I feel like dropping at the time.

Currently using Lancelot(5/6) as my last-stand bot. Seems like that's the trend. Before used to be Carnage (8/9) Yours? Last stand bot depends on what strategy I go with. My first pick changes depending on the map and what I can see drop in from center beacon as the count down goes. I generally start fast and try to save a fast one for the end. I keep the DPS bots in the middle.

Depends. I hate using my Ancilot, but I sometimes open with it based on what I see reds drop first. If I don't open with it, a lot of the times it will be my last bot.

On dead city it will be my 4xGekko Patton. However that would also be my first bot out of the hangar if the map was Yamantu. Last bot is the least practical for that map!

Massive variance for me. Only common theme is fury typically is last out on close range maps like dead city due to lack of utility.

Be flexible depending on the map. Sometimes I wish my team drop another Ancelot to push the middle beacon or a runner for side beacons instead of the third mid range bot. Then at some point, they realise too late the team is behind on beacons and running out of time, they do some pointless gesture of switching into their fat Ancelots and try to waddle as fast as their short stubby legs will allow them in those last few minutes when the conclusion has already been set in stone. So nope, don't have the rigid mentality that your Ancelot must be your last bot, if your team needs a double shielded bot to push into that mid beacon, use that Ancelot.
I have been testing out using my tri fury as first and second pick recently, dropped below 40% wins, not recommended unless you have an excellent pushy team or will drop out of it when your team needs a front line bot. Sometimes it creates a game where 4 of the blues are all range and the team loses really fast because no one is taking beacons. I guess I will save my fury as 3rd-5th bot if the team doesn't lack mid range support.

Short range maps: last bot is the Fury
Long range maps: last out is usually the ancilot

Drop Tri-fury, shoot the thing till nothing else can move. Play a few Griff's, then wave rush lance after lance...Top Meta.

Normally a Galahad, but sometimes it changes depending on the map and the flow of the match.

The last bot I pick varies. It depends on hangar, map, and flow of the match. Anything else isn't being flexible.
As Bruce Lee said:
"Notice that the stiffest tree is most easily cracked, while the bamboo or willow survives by bending with the wind."
Bend! Be flexible! Don't have a set closer but rather let the flow and need of the battle and your team help guide your choice each respawn.

Mine is just whatever is left. It varies quite a bit.

It is often the Hellfire Rhino. Sometimes the Galahad. And on rare occasions the Gareth.

Depends. I like to spawn my strongest robots at #3 and #4, where strongest depends on the map. 5th robot is often a robot not well suited for a map (unshielded robot on Canyon, or Zeus Carnage on Powerplant).

Disagree with some of you who say my last bot is "whatever left" or "least use-able on the map". That to me means you're not thinking thru on closing out the map in last few minutes. There should be some thoughts (at beginning) which bot will be closer in case you're team is losing. I've been alternating from Lancelot to Gary as bruiser or beacon caper.

This^ I vary as well, and no better quote could be found to describe my approach. It is definitely an ebb and flow scenario. The only consistent bot drop in whatever hangar I am using is the one that I drop first on short maps. I always have one that is geared for them.

Surely if you drop your least use-able bot earlier in the match then you aren't maximizing your effectiveness at that point and risk not being able to use your better bots later in the match, if it doesn't last as long as you think/hope?!? That's not a failure to think it through, it's trying to be efficient. If you're holding back a 'good' bot for later in the match in case you are losing, have you considered that maybe you wouldn't need it for that scenario if you had used it earlier to go for the win asap?

I've been alternating from Lancelot to Gary as bruiser or beacon caper. On average those are mine, as well. I'm either scrambling for beacons, or trying to hold ground at the end.

Currently using Lancelot(5/6) as my last-stand bot. Seems like that's the trend. Before used to be Carnage (8/9) Yours? Varies, but usually depends on the beacon meter progression of blue vs red team, and to how many mechs remaining near the end of the match. My mechs are built for defensive and offensive roles, i.e. hold existing beacons, or go grab some more. However, when I'm playing, Blues always seem to be playing catchup on the beacon meter so generally my Gary has the privilege of being last out of the gate.

You make a valid point. Throwing an inefficient bot into the mix seems counter productive. For the example I used, a 1100m range Gekko slow moving Patton is of less potency on a map like dead city than on Yamantu. I use the best bot I have for the map to make the biggest early impact. On saying that i think I have a specialised enough hangar to select my tools for the job needed. finally, unless you know your squad, you never know what bots are going to drop. Once started a match with all aphid stalkers... never seen it since mind you and it was awesome... until it wasn't.

Depends on the daily mission I have. The last bot is always half/unrelated to the mission. If there's no mission, it still depends. My hanger is a 2xZeus support carnage, a plasma rhino for capping center in case of a dire situation, db griff for countering shield bots (and building damage), and a stalker with pinatas to ninja steal the opposing team's spawn beacons.

Power plant, Dead City, Shenzen, it's usually Gareth - IMO not that good for main game but helpful for all endgame situations: - we're winning and pushing reds - won't take long to join and grab some more damage - losing on beacons - avoid conflict and run around, will pick up more beacons than heavies - some smoking reds still staggering round - help them reach the repair shop => keep blue beacons blue - spawn raid - run before they turn their turrets towards you (had a nice benchmark in Shenzen - our spawn got raided after my 1st bot and in the competition Grif / Natasha / Gareth the small boy won, almost escaped ) Yamantau, Canyon, Springfield, it's usually DB Grif, i.e. the least useful.
