I have a Lancelot with Thunder and 2x Orkan and love it.
Natasha with 2x Trebuchet and 2x Gekko (distance)
Fury with 3x Zues.
I'd love advice if the setup is right.
What's? another close fighting, good performance robot?

Welcome to the forums.
It would help to know your league and competition. Boa with Thunder and an Orkan is great in lower leagues. Thunder Carnage. Pinata Thunder Leo. As you climb, you will find that Griffin builds and Britbots are the best brawlers for either their shields, or their ability to jump away from Rockets. Dashbots should excel in this role as well for the same reasons.

Did I read that right? You only have 3 slots but already have a Lance and a Fury?
Anyway great close range bots
Griffin-orkin/aphid, Orkin/pinta, mag/taran the Griffin is great at surprise attacks using its jump and firepowerthe downside is its that it lacks a shied and has fairly low life. The key is hit hard with something you are 100% sure will kill quickly or hit hard and run. Standing toe to toe exposes that its a bit squishy
Galahad- ork/mag, Taran/mag it has good speed and a physical shied. You can cap beacons and take quite a bit of plasma damage but is soft against missiles/rockets.
Leo- Thunder/pinta Thunder/mag Thunder/aphid Anicle/aphid anicle/mag anicle/pinta. The aphid versions are great at taking down an enemies health from cover though there is a glitch where they will sometimes explode as soon as you fire when paired with an anicle. The other Thunder versions are quite powerful straight on while the anicle versions can take more missiles than a Lancelot (even if it has an anicle). The biggest drawback to the Leo is it is slow the biggest plus is that it is second (I think) in HP for all bots currently in game.
Rhino- Orkin/mag Taran/mag has the shied of a Galahad, the firepower of a Griffin, and roughly the same HP as a Griffin. Great for plowing forward and grabbing beacons because of its special ability putting up the shied and giving it a speed boost. The downside is the special ability covers both medium hard points and you cannot turn or go backwards while using it. This makes it good going forward but if something gets close it's pretty easy to circle a rhino unless you come out of rush mode. Also like the Galahad it is soft against missiles
Carnage- Thunders. Fast, agile, and has a light anicle. This is a glass cannon. It can splatter many bots in the game quickly but will melt against plasma. If you use corner peaking to identify your opponent (ie don't rush a shied not) and get close before using rush to plaster yourself against your opponent this thing is absolutely devastating. The downside is you pretty much have to play it perfectly or you will fight very bravely while dieing very quickly.
There is no perfect knife fighter so you have to find what works for you

Don't discount the Gareth as a knife fighter. It fits that role very well on almost all of the maps.

I must disagree. It is a hit while running monster, which is the best way to knife fight. Too many people think knife fighting is just charging as someone smashing the red button. Knife fighting is as much about staying alive as it is about dealing damage. Knife fighting, by definition, is just close quarter combat. Something the Gareth excels at.

I enjoy the Galahad with Taran & 2 magnums. Orkan wreaks havoc too as a 2nd choice med point option.
Tried carnage on test server..didnt like it. Also tried the rhino with 2 Orkans & magnums. It was pretty good & liked it. Driving it is a little different but fine.

We can happily agree to disagree my friend, your Gareth would certainly be welcome on the blue side regardless.

Usually people that aren't big Gareth friends go as far to say as they'd love to see me on the red side. I like you!

Theres rarely a need to argue, after all we all hate reds. I actually like Gareth, my favorite bot to pilot. Mine came with trident magnets factory installed so rides the bench most of the time, but I keep him leveled with my main hanger. Until I passed 2k cups on android he won many a battle.

Mine came with the same trident magnets - but damn fun to play in lower tiers.
