Anyone else notice the sudden uptick in teammates meching out super fast? For the last couple days, it’s not just happening a lot, it’s Every. Single. Game. Two minutes in and I’ll look up to see it’s suddenly 1 vs 5 and I’m still in my little first drop Phantom. The rest of my hangar just becomes a bunch of sacrificial lambs for the reds at that point. What the heck is going on?!

They aren’t meching. They are quitting the match.

Let me guess… red fields all Dux, Condors, and the jumpy reflectivity shield bot. Or they are 3-5 squad members vs non squads. ;-)

Possible Answer: Multiple Leaderboards!
Certain bots & builds are required to score points for leaderboard and once that bot is destroyed then there’s no point in continuing unless you have a backup bot or titan.
There were some decent prizes too that required quite a bit of grinding but reachable.

They aren’t meching. They are quitting the match. Definitely quitters in the mix too. Seem to get at least one every other match with zero or very low stats. I report them as “inactive during combat”. That clearly does nothing since it seems to be getting more and more common.

League/season reset = more power imbalance = more panties getting in a twist = more players quitting matches early because they have better things to do than be a sacrificial lamb to pixies whales. Trust the science
its an old story that keeps repeating

BB What he said. Give it a week, it will settle down. Seems to have already settled down a bit for me. Matches seemed a little more "normal" yesterday.

While some quit as soon as their "camp bot" dies, here is 1 main reason I haven't seen many matches past 5 mins since the Dux came out. And I myself witness this happening many times. Another broken setup is pathfinder with the new rockets, it will have you pulling your hair out as well. EDIT: This guy had his mauler out in under 2 mins to finish the match in under 4 minutes. Tactics: Head 1 side kill everything, blow themselves up & respawn to kill the other side of the map (it's faster than traveling the map). Easy peasy with hangers like this, so even without tankers/quitters or things of that nature, it's just hard to have a skilled match with so much power on the field it doesn't take effort or skill to end it fast.

Sorry, but yeah, I’m one of the quitters adding to the validity of the quitting theory. I/we can read the field and see within a couple minutes that this match is a waste of my time. Why should I spend time and power cells on a guaranteed loss? 2 or 3 months ago I could hang in there and we might get the upset win but now whichever side has the most Condors and Dux wins. I still don’t have any of the latest bots/weapons. Why bother, these weapons and bots will just get horribly nerfed two to four months from now.

Yep... and Pixonic doesn't care whether you leave or not. They'll stick someone else in there if it's really early. Big spending whales don't care either... Most of them are brain dead. LOL!

Problem is, did they quit or the app crash or ... there's nothing Pixonic can reasonably do, so don't waste your time using that placebo called "Report Player."

About a month ago, Pixonic must hve had issues at the back end because I got dumped into a game where it was "1 vs 0" and other started something like "3 vs 1" or something really bizarre. The 1 vs 0 finished before I could cap more than 1 beacon because there were 0 enemy.
If I'm in a battle and it becomes clear I'm the seal, I quit. No fun getting destroyed in 2 seconds after your bot drops. Seems like more people are feeling that way about the game and seriously, who can blame them?

I figured id not say anything. But I also quit marches as soon as I see condors or dux. I have better things to do than waste my time.
And before you say tanking or quitting is inappropriate. The jerk off who buys that robot KNOWS it’s imba. They KNOW it’s not a Fair match . So why let them deprive you of YOUR enjoyment for their own.

Whole I completely understand why Some of you are quitting when the deck seems stacked against you, I still completely disagree with quitting. Even when I'm getting smoked instantly and it seems hopeless, I have found that sometimes it still pays to fight to the end anyway. It might only be 10% of the time, but it does happen. I, for one will NEVER quit or give up, and sometimes the blues win against all odds. I sincerely hope that none of you quitters are on my team when we face these tough battles because quitters suck.

Now I’m even seeing players with maxed meta hangars quit as soon as they see a player on the other team with a similarly maxed hangar. It’s insane!

Yeah I never quit either and all the quitters in almost every match are making it miserable. So tired of being on bot #2 or 3 and suddenly no teammates left. Then I just go into pure beacon capping mode and see how many I can get. It’s my little game within the game.

Quitting the game because of how one sided or whatever is the only way to effectively protest against the 「fluffernutter」ed up way Pixonic run this game.

Quitting the game because of how one sided or whatever is the only way to effectively protest against the 「fluffernutter」ed up way Pixonic run this game. Even the #1 War Robots-YT Manni only plays occasionally for fun now. Over the years many of us here have taken long hiatus every time Pigsonic got just a little too greedy. We all know it takes money to run a game, but at times when Picsonic does not listen to the majority of the player base many people leave, take a long hiatus or even a short break to do something else to get enjoyment out of life. When the game is the stress itself who will be playing it for stress relief?

All of the above. People not being able to compete with hangar that is not the latest meta. Players being one-tapped by new OP weapons. Frustration/ unfair matching quits. And etc, etc. Given the power imbalances and how quickly players' gear can get nerfed the question is not why is it bad now, the question is how has it survived this long. Btw, I'm a quitter. Not a match quitter, but game quitter.

..... and all the quitters in almost every match are making it miserable. So tired of being on bot #2 or 3 and suddenly no teammates left.... Which is entirely the point. Most quitters are simply returning the favor from Pigsonic... you say quitters are making it miserable, sorry, Pigsonic does that by design. Why should anyone sit through an entirely miserable match because Pigsonic cant be bothered to be ethical or fair? If you get dropped into a match that is essentially ruined from the get-go, no sense in staying. If enough people quit the match, it makes the game unplayable for whales, and unplayable for the non-spenders who elect to stay behind as target practice (unless thats how you get your groove on, then have at it). The more times that happens, the less people play and spend, which is apparently the only thing Pigsonic understands. Pigsonic will either have to mend their ways (yeah, right), or the game dies a slow death. The latter is most likely, as Pigsonic has always doubled-down on scamming and scheming, which has only made things worse for the player base.

Thanks for keeping the debate civil: I used to agree with hanging in there even if it cost me powercells but the trouncing is SO bad that it costs me my precious time, frustration, and powercells. The combo of Dux and Condor and new weapons is just tooo OP.

For those who do stick it out, there is a "Never surrender" thread or something similar to that.

Here's one for you... Intentional meching out in teamed matches...just go die in FFA in Cossacks/Destriers already! You do have to give it to em though, the dedication of this guy. Considering the new "Anti-tanking" algorithm...or maybe that works just as well as the new "Anti-cheat". You do have to consider every time the "ranged" task comes people are somehow running a Macro (bot/program) to spawn the missile bots then leave & join the next match. Basically, they are just farming range damage then quitting.
