Not familiar with this YouTupe guy but the video is well done. Captures a nice timeline of War Robots and highlights some of the key moments (2018- 2019 and Rebalance) where things really went down the crapper. Some humor mixed in.
Nice walk down memory lane (good and bad) especially since I started in 2016, which was the same as him.
Enjoy.

why did this little trip down memory lane bring a tear to my eye, hurt, and piss me off all in the same short time? Oh that's right, the game went to 「dookie」. Little over 7 yrs playing this game.
damn shame.

Never heard it called “the cycle” before… fits. Video could have been longer, nostalgia can be fun. It was sad to plug in my own triple timeline of joining the game and leaving the game. IDK … 4th?

Well done! War Robots is textbook perfect example of rampant inflation and "keep it simple, stupid" being non-existent.

The game’s downfall for me was the implementation of the active repair module. So much work went into damaging a robot only for them to go behind cover and then they heal back up. I could deal with the noobtrain and dash bots. But healing was a smack in the face for me.

That was nice. Not entirely accurate to my experience and recollection. But still pretty cool.

There were a lot of changes over the years and the new content was always OP. That much was given almost from the time I started playing in 2017 and I accepted the game as such. Where it all started going south imo was adding features that would break the "safe in cover" rule: the shocktrain, orbital strike, bendy bullets, teleport or the lasso. I could tolerate one feature like that but accumulation of them just made the game broken, more than usual.
The other dishonorable mention goes to phase shift. Free "get out of jail" card when you got outplayed. I understand that Pixonic couldn't make War Robots all about skill since there would be no room for monetization. However, if you wake up one day and notice almost none of the gameplay is about the skill then it's time to walk away.

When bots started to heal themselves, they had to make support bots heal grey damage. Now that's not even needed, the latest bots heal their own grey damage now too!

Phase shift has been a necessary part of the game to allow some rectifiction of imbalances but even then it wasn't perfect. The most significant imbalance was Ao Jun with the pilot. Phase shift allowed escaping the burning for a period of time but not all - phase shift wan't long enough.
Orbital strike I'm also kind of convinced because it can make it possible to take out AFK misille launchers (although the way to deal with that is better to just quit the game.)
But bendy bullets, 「fluffernutter」 that for a joke.
My biggest "safe in cover" issue is weapon fire that just goes straight through buildings and other things due to bugs in the game.

Good video!
One important part that wasn’t covered was MY.GAMES becoming the owner and they scaled back the ability to win the latest stuff through grinding the event. Remember winning Zmej Murometz via the event? I had to sell a few! Also, they stopped the 1000 giveaway on their YT when their latest bot was released.
So MY.GAMES really decided to cull the unprofitable f2p base and this also strangled the low spenders.
