Just training up a new pilot and I'm thinking to start with, do I want Mechanic or Wonderworker?
For bots like Loki/Skyros, you don't want to be turning your ability on/off very often, so Wonderworker isn't that great.
For Ravana and others where you can have multiple charges, I think WW wins IF and only if you can play the 'bot well.
But what about for Scorpion, Fafnir, Siren, etc, where you have to wait and only get one pump on the ability button every X seconds? Is Mechanic preferred because you don't have to expose yourself or compromise ability availability?

I think of it in terms of percentages per second. Take for instance Mechanic at T4 with 0.7% hp per second as a constant, compared to Wonderworker with 9.5% instantly upon using the ability, 9.5%/0.7% is ~13.6, so roughly speaking if your ability cooldown is shorter than that Wonderworker is objectively superior, I use it on my Curie for that reason. However if you have a longer cooldown Mechanic gives more repair per minute, the main exceptions would be: 1. A bot doesn't pair well will Wonderworker, like I would argue even if in theory its better in terms of repair per minute on a Crisis for instance, constantly dropping stealth arbitrarily is a bad idea. And 2. You are going full a maximum repair setup and feel like using both.

Levelling pilots is bloody expensive so I won't use those skills at all.
I'd rather stick to speed and durability skills and use immune amps and repair amps to take up the slack.
You get insane repair bonuses when repair amps kick in and you can survive long enough.
Saying that, I think Loki can benefit heaps from WW alongside the kestrel drone. You can always find time to hide somewhere and replenish your health back to max

I only run Wonderworker on my Orochi with the Brijit pilot (3 charges). Ironically, she also won Mechanic, and I run a Repair Amplifier too. Still a glass cannon. Sadly, the Wonderworker skill is unavailable on the Ravana, else I’d run Poe (3 charges) with it as well. Do the math and I think Mechanic comes out on top… but if you win Wonderworker, I’d be slow to replace it. YMMV

Mechanic is better. One of the first skills I get on a robot. You don't realise how good it is until you play a bot without it. Wonderworker is good too, especially on Curie and with bots that go into stealth with the Kestrel drone.

I’m not sure Ravana benefits from WW, does’t take damage OR heal during Transcendence.

I’m not sure Ravana benefits from WW, does’t take damage OR heal during Transcendence. Ravana doesn't get the Wonderworker skill at all, so it's a moot point.

Hehe, can you imagine?
But this is correct, no WW skill for Ravana.

WW on Strider would be game-breaking, at least if there was no Grey Damage.

I like the wonderworker one, instinctively, because you have some kind of control over it. I like mechanic too, but it takes so long for it to get anywhere, and I'm allergic to camping. it gives me spots

Is great on Loki who can run around healing and be mostly untouchable.

But the loki is just awful.
