You can even gift or trade with other members, which is quite impressive considering that this isn't even real life! Unfortunately plugins, including the monetary system, don't work on anything other than the desktop site. So posts and replies made from mobile or tapatalk won't award gold (although requesting the desktop site should work). |

There is a fixed daily wage based on total post count that is paid out to all members who make at least one post, so since you have quite a lot of posts you could still generate a decent income by just posting once from the desktop site per day Meh. tricky48, What stock did you buy, I looked at market? I bought a few of 4 or 5 of them... only one has gone up since I bought them... Not telling you my secrets for picking! LOL just look at the trend and see what looks like it may go back up that is low... And be prepared to sell if it goes up a lot... because there seems to be a trend for some of those stocks... 16 stocks to choose from? How long did you invest? Oh it's only been a day... it's not some grand amount that I got... just that one stock has already increased in value.Did the Gareth go to you hanger? No... unfortunately lol! I do hope that this game sticks around for the long term as the zombie game was nice but landed with a confusing lack of information and disappeared before some players even logged in again.
I'm not sure if I would agree with gold being tied to posting AND there being a stock market game. If you wanted people to actually play the stock market game then we should probably start with money to invest. I spent about a day trying to puzzle out why some people had 2k+ gold and I didn't have any money, no explantion, no rules or transparency. It was pretty not cool to have people already able to play the stockmarket game ahead of everyone else before the rest of us were given any explanation.
The stockmarket is pretty cool but considering you can only invest in Bull (upwards turns) returns, that only leaves about 33% of time we can actually do something with a stock. Stocks generally move very slowly as well, so it's unlikely most of us will get any return on <1000 gold worth of investment (which is a lot of posting...) To me the stock market game is made cheap by making money by posting, originally I thought the people with high gold counts had actually done well on the markets but now I know they just spend their time in Off Topic or were somehow given gold outside of posting and the stock market.
Lots of not cool happening here.

No gold for Off Topic. There's a daily wage based on your total post count, though. You get it the first time you post each day. Could be where some folks got a chunk. I don't know that anyone other than Strayed actually got gifted money anywhere. Also, the stocks should be bullish at least 40% of the time. It's fairly rare for them to just stay static. Want a larger return? Invest in the lower-priced stocks. A $1 increase will be a larger %. |
