Ok, talk to me about Pod Guns. I was growing to really dislike this weapon but then I got to use it on weak enemies in the Onslaught. I've seen them shoot around corners when they were used against me...are they like the Needler from Halo? Can they really follow a target behind cover or is that lag? Are they pretty much the new Disc Launcher but improved?? The splash radius seems ridiculously high too and it reloads pretty darned fast. Plus, they can kill you at spawn - happened to me more times then I can count. Basically they stick to you and when your damage immunity ends, they blow up and kill you. They're also effective against Seekers too as you can kill them after they teleport back.
Sigh... $130 for PG12...too rich for my blood, even if it is at R5 and I have 44 blueprints currently, which may or may not be enough to clone it at R6.

ThenAI uses pod guns really effectively, lol.
I think there’s some pod guns in my future, but when the cost comes down. PGs have a remarkable range and speed of fire. It seems by the time I react to being hit I’ve got enough pods on me to do serious damage. I agree that their damage radius is effective as well.
I also appreciate that you can stick them on objects and still damage mechs nearby. Neat trick.
Unfortunately, this comes with a meta shift and the age of disks is ending. I’ll still use my disc-stalker, I’m seeing fewer players making use of their disk panthers. Wish I’d ranked mine up faster to take advantage of the build.
Yeah, pods are the new discs. Savants the new rack. There’s rumors a new bastion/brickhouse monster is about to be unleashed. Damn you pix, I mean Plarium.

Discs were better than pods. From what I've heard, while pods can follow an enemy around a corner it is only at a pretty shallow angle. Discs curve a lot more. Also they have similar splash radii, but there is no implant for PGs to go and double it. I don't think Platinum really wants to put out any weapon that is a strong as DLs used to be.
But that said, I don't have any experience playing them. I bought a PG12, but it isn't leveled yet.

I've never been able to curve DLs around corners. They always hit the cover in front of my target. I have to break lock and manually aim for the ground beside or the wall behind my target. I regret all the resources I poured into my DL build...I don't even use it anymore. I even yesterday, did an implant shuffle and moved my Stasis Field Height implant off MVP Neymar and back onto my Beam pilot since I use GBs more than DLs.
Sigh...my resources are tanked now. I spend all my credits and acoins when I finally bought the HR16, ranked it, cloned it, and slapped it on my Paragon. Not sure if I should use Panther instead though, but I like Paragon for this build.
