My first and probably last rant

I love this game! It is the best game ever, run by the best devs!

It's a cycle for me. Played the game for a long time, then quit for over 2 years. Started again and I think I'm nearing to the point where I'll stop again. For me it's all connected to leagues: as I'm raising through leagues before hitting champion the game despite its flaws is fun, but when reaching champion much less so.

As for negativity (or what I call criticism): when I see something that is off I point it out, and most of the times attempt to fix it. Serves me well at work because either I can do something about it, or when brought up somebody else can do something about it. But obviously I cannot fix Pixonic.

But when it comes to Pixonic it raises my ire because as a consumer rights advocate I think they are getting away with things they shouldn't. I don't mean to tell them how to run their business but by law they should not be allowed to nerf items they sold, should be always required to post clear odds for their mini lotteries and etc.

Lastly, as unpleasant as it feels to some, negativity has some use. I think we have warned many players what they are getting themselves into via reviews and yes, to some extent through forum posts. I might be wrong, but I think War Robots frontiers has flopped so far despite being a decent game precisely because the bad reputation Pixonic has.

Somebody slapped you for complaining? I thought in the old days people were smacked for not complaining enough on this forum. 

I remember one time mods were busy or otherwise unavailable and one thread got so nasty and personal that Pixonic was complaining to head mod about it. Things definitely went too far back then, that's one of the reasons we have separate rants section now. In the old days all that was in GD, and in it was LOT more lively too. I got thread locked once or twice for political back and forth with somebody. But under different name, nobody remembers it so it never happened.

But the "complainers" vs "take it or leave it" factions are probably as old as the forum itself.  




 

It's a roller coaster ride for sure. I think this game is more like an addiction... or an abusive relationship... You don't know why you keep coming back for more punches to the face... you just do.
Honestly, I would have to say it's my worst addiction.

Yup, still seeing demeters and khepris occasionally in Champions League. Even though I got my beloved Tyr almost leveled to MK3 it's just not cutting it anymore. The shield is not enough and it's not fast enough to keep up with team and heal. Which defeats the purpose. Mender is not cutting it either, would love to have the ultimate version but these are hard to get.

I can find my happy place in the game. The issue is the bendy bullets can find me there too, hence getting to end of my line.

I put it in few times and I kept getting it wrong so I had go with something else for now. But then I realized the demeter is probably the most difficult bot to play right and requires some experience. Certainly more challenging to play than almost anything else I'm used to so far. 

Nodens requires a lot of attention because you are tracking who needs healing, who needs to be suppressed and where the fight is heading next. And of course all that while tracking potential targets at the same time. But demeter requires understanding of not only entire battlefield but also having good idea how individual skirmishes are going and which ones are worth jumping into. Otherwise you'll be sending your demeter on suicide missions, which is what I have done.

Of course it also didn't help that I was impatient and fielded demeter level 4 with igniters. That's just won't cut it, even in expert/master league where I was at the time. The only thing remotely close to meta that I own is one porthos I won, and that's being leveled and will go on demeter to give it little extra sting. Not ready yet, but definitely there will be demeter round 2.

and yeah, the Demeter is often going to be jumping into 'the thick of it', so it needs to be armed for brawling, but 'toe to toe' is not where you want to be. I use maces on mine. I also run Jerry to boost my blues

I was going to 「female dog」 about all that, but I dont want to get stuck in an infinite loop.

Whilst on this rant/anti-rant theme, predator is still my favourite but what is with the latest style of delivery with the "baby talk" and deliberate stuttering with every enemy encounter?
