Hey, does anyone know if Plarium’s done with using BPs, gold and silver crates, upgrades as objectives in playoff events, etc? It seems like ages since we’ve seen some of that.
I ask because I typically store up gold and silver crates and put off upgrades in hopes of placing in events and winning freebies. Been ages since that happened too. I’ve got a ton of silver crates and un-upgraded content just sitting there and I’m wondering if I should just throw in the towel by opening crates and upgrading some stuff.
A lot of the objectives as of late seem to be focused on whales and grinders. Neither of which applies to me.
Thanks in advance.

I've been monitoring that too, and yeah I think crates are no longer relevant to Playoff Events. But there are still Modifiers for 2x legendary bps or occasionally increased bps for specific mechs/weapons, so it can be worthwhile to wait for those.
Credit and A-Coin spending still show up as PE tasks, but they're always mixed with other tasks that guarantee only big spenders and ultra-grinders will win. I'm not saving upgrades anymore myself.
Frankly, by the end, it was only gold implant rewards that seemed to line up with crates tasks and be occasionally winnable. But now that they got rid of free implant swap weekends and the weekly 5,000 scrap for 99¢ deal, those are just as big a pain as a reward.

Your response reminded me of some of the task trends Plarium’s been fond of lately. I’ll hold out just a bit longer to see if I can take advantage. *sigh*. It seems Plarium’s good at recognizing the PE strategies players come up with and tweaking things to their own benefit. Thanks again.

Yeah, I haven't seen that in a long time. I used my last batch of saved up crates to get blueprints with the RG12 bps were x5 more likely to drop. News flash, I didn't get many if any that time.
But yeah, I still do save my crates as much as possible but I also open them all where there is a booster for blueprints for something I'm working on.

I stopped saving crates and rolled all that I had saved. I don't play as much as I used to so there's no reason to save them for grinder events. Also, rewards in general aren't very rewarding these days, unless you grind or pay $$$.
