I've never done this since you only get 100 scrap per blue implant. But I remember reading some folks here have used this strategy. Scrap is becoming a real crunch point and I'm doing ok on credits, so I was thinking about giving it a try. Is it still worth doing? How many implants a day do folks buy without feeling too jammed up on credits?

Yes, I still do this. I don't really spend my credits on anything so they build up pretty quickly. Even with spending like 40k a day or so buying the blue implants, my credit stash goes up. I'm not sure where I'm getting the credits from but I do notice it not go up as much when I don't play as much...TBH, I never really kept a close watch on my credits. I'm down do about 15k implant parts..down from 40k cause in a fit of madness I decided to try EMR again but this time on Maverick.

I like to at least get up to the 2MIL mark on credits and then I’ll start purchasing implants for scrap frequently. I did it a lot last fall. I like that so I’ve got the credits when I want to rank up a bunch of stuff, usually when it applies to a playoff event( which is getting rare, lol).
This seems to work for me, but I currently upgrade things miserly compared to the community. I can’t seem to get bps at a satisfactory rate to justify rushing anything. Too many bottlenecks in this game.

Thanks for the insights! I think I am going to take a week and try to track the amount of credits I have coming in and from what sources. I'm up on credits right now but now matter how many I squirrel away, I'll hit a point where I push through a bunch of final stage upgrades and just deplete my stash. Usually that lines up with a Playoff Event that has a credit spending task and which is one of the few PEs I can sometimes win. Right now I'd probably choose the implant scrap over the PE, but I'm curious to figure out the actual numbers.

So, I did the gacha for Neev cause it was a good deal all around. 1M credits to get 38k implant parts and Neev. I was sitting at around 2.5M credits, so this didn't really impact me.
I did get the Season Pass too because I saw that they raised the credit stash up to 400k.

I tend to only buy the pass when it's offering a really good implant as the end prize. This time it's a paint, do I'll skip it, but the credit increase definitely is good to see.
I'm down to 2.5M after getting all the scrap from the gacha. But this surprise gacha was a good reminder on why I want to crunch the numbers on income. Should have the numbers early next week if I don't screw up on tracking it.

I'll be getting the Battle Pass this season too because I would love to have a Legendary skin for my Seeker. I have Legendary skins for most of my mechs in my line ups except for Seeker so this is good.
