You know I was thinking about it... With the recent mega nerf to TRA, which makes titans overall weaker which will come up later... and to mothership accumulation rates on literally every weapon making them all equally 「dookie」ty in that regard... it drastically lowers the amount of mothership strikes you get per game... Which on its own may simply seem like an equal quantity based nerf to all motherships in the game... I however would strongly disagree...
Its a massive nerf to SUPPORT motherships, one of the perks of them was with high charge rate weapons you could constantly be stacking up DE and slapping on Aegis and etc... A perpetual snowball of buffs to your bot to make yourself more effective in fights rather than the lower ranking Attack motherships which didn't allow that same kind of snowballing... however now that charge rates are so slow the ability to snowball Support strikes is effectively impossible... and intermittent use of them is not nearly as useful...
With that said, I had an idea... if you can't snowball support... you need to capitalize on the value of every mothership strike, and given damage and kills are the primary way to charge it up other than beacons of course... it goes to reason you want to focus less on buffing yourself, and simply attacking the enemy as hard as possible. I swapped out my fully kitted and optimized Paladin for a similarly Kitted out Roulette mothership which gives me some buffs while also doing incredible AOE damage and rusting all effected enemies, I found this combination to be insanely effective and made stacking up kills and thus more mothership strikes far easier, snowballing damage rather than buffs, and support based users were effectively helpless against the barrage of strikes.
Im calling it now, this huge nerf flipped the mothership meta from Support based to Attack based. Don't waste time trying to get yourself boosts.... hit hard and hit fast, kill and don't stop killing, the more damage you do the more kills you'll get meaning more damage and then more kills and so on and on and on... and as I mentioned before, titans are squishier... so capitalize on it and strike them hard, and with attack based motherships thats especially easy.
