I think we all knew that this was coming but in typical pixonic fashion, they decide to "give us what we want" and then some.
Titan Repair Amp defense protection is now a single use item lasting for 30 seconds and that's it! No soup for you, after that.
I'm kind of happy in a way (along with the motherships not charging up so quickly) because titans were just becoming another joke with immortality built in but making it a single use item is also just another pixonic "give with one hand and take with the other" reaction.
Oh, and the latest titan..... the Ultimate Fenrir, is now going to be the immortal one on the battlefield. Will probably have to ditch your titan anyway if you come across a Fenrir late in a game and switch to a beacon capper to get away from it.
Quote from reddit. Titan Repair Amplifier: Immunity to Defense Mitigation becomes temporary and, once triggered, will only last for 30 seconds. The immunity only tiggers once per battle, regardless of how many TRA modules are equipped. At the same time, the effect will now stack faster (-1% to Durability threshold at each level).
Charging Titans and Orbital Support: We rebalanced accumulation rates on multiple weapons to achieve roughly similar accumulation time between different weapon groups. Energy weapons such as the recent tesla guns will no longer provide that big of an advantage when it comes to charging Titans and Orbital Support.

It wasn’t just the titan repair module but I noticed my Ochokochi is now much weaker against other bots even though I’m using 2 maxed repair amps.
I utterly hated it at first because I successfully moulded my play style to quickly charge up my titan and then unleash my titan. But I have re-adjusted and it’s nice not being chased by an immortal Bedwyr. (Bedwyr is still hard to kill)
I now have to use most of my bots to charge up the titan meter meaning I am thinking of my full hanger again and not just Ocho & Shenlou.
Being back to normal is good. It’s harder to do the 10m+ damage and therefore less silver from matches which is the main drawback.
Strangely I’m seeing a few Newtons. Variety is good!

I just noticed this this morning. Crazy difference in mothership charge. Takes ages now. They also nerfed the electric weapons being able to charge the titan in seconds.
I don't think it was a bad choice, because now people can't drop their titans in less than a minute. However, we'll likely see robots killing titans with ease again now.

Yeah I think the mothership charge rate is a little bit too slow now.
In regards to the TRA, I would have liked to see something like the Lynx/Nether shield set up where the resistance drops after X amount of damage taken so you can drop the defense with a team effort.

Great news! Now players can actually be forced to learn how to operate their bots effectively. Improved match quality is my hope.

The ONLY problem was that Titans could drop too early. Then the TRAs were getting charged up from regular bots. TRAs were NEVER the problem. But all the YouTubers kept saying it was a problem. Pixonic always reacts with too many changes at once. Now TRA is pretty much useless, thus my Heimdall is totally useless. And no, it definitely was not OP before.

I'll have to see how well motherships recharge in the main account. In the smurf account using Punishers and Orkans and Pinatas, it didn't really seem to take much longer than normal. Ditto for the Titan. Kinda bummed at the TRA nerf. Would much rather see a change in the extent it blocks damage, rather than charge it up faster then get a "30 second one time use". It was the only thing keeping the minnows from being instantly devoured by whales in Eiffels and Bedwyrs. So actually a buff for those titans with bendy bullets and flamethrowers...

This is just another nerf IMO. What’s the odds of something new not replacing this circumstance?

Titans dropping too soon is a very real issue that still need getting rid of, but the repair amps were most certainly the largest part of the titan issue. NO robot of any kind should be unkillable, and that's what titan repair amps delivered. It was frustrating beyond belief and I'm glad they are hosed. The detriment they brought to
game play was staggeringly idiotic; there was no thinking involved. Drop early and mash buttons because no one could kill you. High level game play was so utterly stupid it wasn't funny. Grab the bedwyr, park on a beacon and win without doing a 「fluffernutter」ing thing.
So stupid, and glad that isn't as much of a thing anymore. Now they just need to get rid of the drop early skill altogether and we'll be getting somewhere.

This is just another nerf IMO. What’s the odds of something new not replacing this circumstance? My thoughts too. With galloping power inflation Pixo has to do a reset at some point because otherwise the game becomes so ridiculous that even the biggest fans/spenders wonder if enough is enough. Pixonic loves to package these resets as "we listened to you, players" moments but it's just a lip service. But then what you see eventually happening is power creep is back on. Even though some may applaud this since this will improve game at least short term, to me it's still not ok. You want to do a nerf? Fine, but first reimburse all those people that sank real money into the nerfed items.

The player base tolerated and and invested into the previous meta so it is safe to say when pix comes up with a replacement than people will hop onboard again. The other trick that they use during these circumstances is to push the spenders into investing resources into the best currently available alternate option and when that investment spend flattens out, they push out the replacement concept. Skin the cat twice.

Mothership charge nerf is really starting to be a problem now. Didn't realise how much I was relying on the health boost. Might have to switch back to advanced repair on some robots now.

Did you play any War Robots classic games? If ever there was a reminder of the value of Demeter/Fenrir/Mender, that was it...

Yeah, I played it the first time, it was a blast. Nice to be able to survive in non meta robots. Putting a demeter in is a good idea. Might swap it with the Pathfinder.

Given Pigsonics history, this is just another grift. They will nerf the stuff (robbing everyone of the money spent), and replace with 'new' stuff that does basically the same things, for plenty of $$$$.
Theres is NEVER a game rebalance. Only a revenue-model rebalance.

Only a revenue-model rebalance. Wouldn't surprise me if there's a new TRA module on the horizon, or even some sort of new healing titan. But who knows.
