In this event, Pixonic (Pugsonic, Putonic, etc) have changed the F2P compensation for the weekly events from 10*blue maxipads to 5*blue & 2*red.
What's the expected outcome of this?
F2P players will get a greater mix of shards from blue & red and be thus less likely to end up with actual complete weapons as a prize.
At first this appears to be a "F2P get more red", it also means "F2P get less blue". With enough of the blue maxipads you could actually get a pilot or two and enough shards to make things. Now you won't. But won't F2P players be getting reds and won't that be a good thing? No. The same distribution rules apply, meaning the 10 red maxipads will most likely all end up being shards - and not enough to build anything.

I doubt it will make any difference. I get very few weapons or anything else from the pads.... Crises comps...and lynx comps again and again and again.
More plecebo BS... This is a PTW game.
All this tuber... Im a free player running the latest bots and weapons. While possible is unlikely for all but a few who are very lucky or working very very hard at winning giveaways

I did some math... using Cruel Winter as my measuring stick, each maxipad is worth (on average) 1500 components. 5 weeks, 50 blue maxipads, take away a few legendary/epic, ~60,000 shards, but when spread over 11 robots/weapons, you might be lucky to get 1-2 weapons out of that. Now there will be ~25 blue maxipads, resulting in maybe ~30,000 shards for blue things and about 15,000 shards for red things.
