So, the gold shield implant for Seeker came out today...I'm thinking of not getting it even though I have the acoins for it. I figure that a 50% boost to a weak butt shield isn't great. It would only help against sustained damage weapons and maybe hold out for a split second longer. Insta-kill weapons still take out the shield on the first hit and then kill on the second, so the shield HP boost doesn't net me anything. I've been slowly getting acoins to max the Seeker and then move on to get Orion next, so I don't really want to get too distracted from this goal. I've already wasted enough acoins on Vortex and Scorpius so I want to be more cautious.
Thoughts?

I think youre better off adding stars to rhe mech than adding the implant. I'd love to have one of those Seekers. 😃

Thanks, I'm thinking along those lines too. Sometimes, these expensive implants don't really add much value. The best mech implants for me are still the Ability Cooldown, Ability Duration and Ability Damage ones.
Seeker is pretty fun. I raised it to R6.1 and now have 20EN, but I'm still running it with a single RG16. I do plan on changing it to maxed MR12 when I finally max the Seeker. I don't think I have enough Acoins though. I'm down to a about 8k, and it's like 240 Acoins for each bp. If I'm not mistaken, I think by the second last or last upgrade, you need like 9 bps...so yeah, I don't even need to do the math on this one.
Seeker is still better against humans than AI. AI respond WAY too fast to the teleport. It's a good counter to human campers who won't show themselves. I've also learned to NOT teleport to the first red I see, but rather try to pick a mech that is further out - because the first or closest mech will have a team mate behind them, so while I'm teleporting behind my target, there's red behind ME.

This a very good point about the team mate. 👍
