This is the first (and probably last) time I'll ever say it

Yeah as I said when we discussed this... classic pix spaghetti code, they forgot to actually give the absorber infinite HP and so its basically just a super strong aegis, an aegis that bugs out when broken and never works again the rest of the game lol.
So for the time being seems unloading everything you have at the shields is actually a viable strategy.... you might boost its hp in the the short term but then its defenses are worthless, its tanky even without the shield sure but without the ability to block and convert damage to hp further it becomes significantly weaker, It would be interesting to determine exactly how much hp the shield has.

Ha ha! Let’s se if they fix it on the fly or whether we need an update

I think that this strategy of shooting the shield is a bit of a mute point when the flamethrowers have already just deleted you in about 1 second.

No, it's just like Arthur's shield - gradually degrades over time. I don't think this is a bug, but rather a designed in weakness. But I might be wrong... did it work differently on the test server?

I think this is correct. As far as I know, Bedwyr’s shield having finite durability is intended behavior. I forget where, but I think I heard a Pixonic trailer say something like “make sure it does not take too much damage” or something to that effect, and there is this stat in its description:

I noticed it in battle a few times but didn't keep shooting at it as I thought it was just another 「dookie」ty visual bug making the shield not appear, but the bot still had the purple "health" bar active under the normal health.

Strange as in it is a sensible limit and not OP?

Strange as in it makes no sense, Absorber is a well established mechanic, it can absorb any amount of damage, and also cannot be permanently broken on any bot that utilizes it. To introduce a new op meta titan and rework how absorber works to make it visually an absorber but literally not an absorber and make it weaker than other options is just not something that they would do on purpose, it has to be a mistake... and if for some strange reason it isn't it only creates confusion and inconsistent mechanics. Also if the screenshot is anything to go by... the absorber would have 200,000 hp, which would be pitifully low and is demonstrably not the threshold for which it breaks.... there's certainly some screwed up mechanics here. Edit: Got confirmation, as I suspected the 200,000 indicates the max repair per shield usage, the actual absorber seems to bug out and break at around 3 million damage it seems.

I think the shield is like Blitz’s aegis, where it does start at full health every time the ability is activated. As for the stat I pointed out, I do bet that is the healed durability, not the shield durability.
