Great advice, now all I have to do is master actually noticing the lock on warning sign in the first place, somehow I'm oblivious to it until it's to late. Me too. I don't notice seeker until the game shows who trashed my mech.

Took me a while to get in the habit of noticing it. Don't know why they made it look almost exactly like the guided missile lock on warning. Or white for that matter. Oh wait, I do 🤑. But it would be a lot better if it was a more distinctive shape at least.

The lock on alert for the Seeker is different. It's a full circle rather than a broken circle. Plus, it turns red as the Seeker teleports in. But, yeah, it's hard to notice when you're in the middle of a firefight. That's why I'm starting to learn to target reds that have a blue dot near by. When you see the lock on, whether for homing missile or Seeker, immediately run to the nearest cover and put your back to it. This works for both missiles and Seeker. If it's missiles, if they hit, you want them to hit your front where damage is less than if it hits you on the side or back. If it's a Seeker, you'll hopefully turn around just as they teleport in so it becomes a straight up fight face to face. If they have Ember Gun you are toast unless you're shielded. If you have powerful burst weapons, fire one at a time if you can cause the Seeker's shield is paper thin and it can be taken down by a granny's sneeze. If you have a Guardian, Surge or Zephyr, trigger your ability and you'll have an excellent chance to kill the Seeker. No, the Guardian's System Crash doesn't make the Seeker teleport back or leave it stranded. It just brings down the shield and put it's weapons on reload.

I find Aegis shield to be an effective counter to Seeker. It does have trouble with Aegis. Though player skill may come into play in some situations.
I found a yt video of Aegis doing pretty well against Seeker.

Managed to avoid a Seeker 3 times in a row with my Tengu. Every time he got locked on, I jumped. Finally got me on the 4th try, but I was packing JR's, so I couldn't do much in the way of defense.

Yeah, the other day when Tengu was part of the specialization spree, I got beaten by a guy with a maxed Tengu and SR8. I can confirm that Tengu is a GREAT counter for Seeker.

OK, this definitely ups my interest in finally maxing my Tengu and getting an SR8 for it...

Maxed out ability recharge helps. I can't be positive, but I think the guy I was facing was triggering his Tenju ability when the Seeker lock on indicator turned red. From my POV, when I teleported in, he was not in front of me. He was off to the side or behind me. So while I wasted time turning and looking for him, he killed me with SR8. I think it was also possible that his ability took my shield down, hence me dying to SR8 with over 200k HP. Or...maybe this cycle repeated twice...hence me dying...TBH, I don't remember the engagement second by second anymore. I just remember it being very frustrating to lock his Tengu down. But...that's the problem with Tengu. It's too slow and fragile to be a true hunter. You have to lay in wait and ambush, similar to Zephyr. It can't really go hunting like Shadow or Surge.

You are right about slow. I'm luckily on my last two individual tasks, flanker and team player, so I can opt out of jumping on heads and stick to lobbing javs and such.

A Seeker popped up within stun range of my Tengu while going after a teammate. I stunned him with a jump, so it definitely works. Said teammate took him out. SWEET!
