Plarium knows my price point, and that this is not it. I haven't seen an offer for a $27.99 4-Star item in who-knows-how-long. So I assume they are doing this offer game-wide instead of targeted price points. Either way, I am just like "Why???" Nobody is bothering to play Disruptors and now they're jacking UP the price? Seriously unsure as to what they're smoking.
I am kind interested in getting a 12 at some point to try out on my Stalker. But that is really only because I am a Stalker fanatic. I saw someone do well with them on a Stalker in one of the smallest of the Artifact 5v5 maps, but outside the really small maps like that or Acropolis I doubt they're useful. When Plarium wakes up and offers me a 2-Star $5 deal I'll probably go for it, but even then I doubt most people will bother.

Ok, so the last time I got a legendary that I thought was 4 star at a good price, the item ended up being 3 star. This was my Vortex. I didn't take screen shots before and after so I can't prove it now and even doubt my memory. So, if you do go for this, make sure to take screen shots. As for the gun, I have to admit, I'm getting intrigued too. I didn't think too much of them at first cause I kept dodging them and thought they were a rip off of the BFG9000 from Doom. But, I'm getting killed more often by them now and it's usually in CQC. In CQC, they are practically unavoidable and it's like seeing your doom coming at you in slow motion. They also seem to do way more damage than advertised cause a beam shoots out from the green ball and it seems to keep doing damage as it passes you. I was looking for a replacement gun for AT12 on my Surge and while Ember was in the running, I'm definitely tempted by this for Surge as I think they would mesh well together.
Also, the gun seems to do well for hitting targets behind corners. DLs can be problematic for this and you have to break lock first (if you are in range for lock) and then manually aim and hope for the best. With this, you shouldn't have to break lock and just point and shoot. Due to the slow speed though, you'll have to be relatively close to your target, but I suppose it can be good for those pesky campers who like hide and shoot.
Anyone with actual experience with this gun?

I’ve only experience with the EN8 Disruptor, but I like ‘em. At EN8 it’s more of a fun gun, and I run ‘em on light bots. The higher ENs I’ve seen AI run with seem genuinely dangerous. There’s that learning curve to Disruptors. Targets need to be led or trailed and it’s best to have the fire sweep past a target so the green beams can hit a target multiple times. The funz in slipping Disruptor fire through crowds or in passageways/bottlenecks. Disruptors have a good reload speed with implants. Obviously, it’s not a weapon for sparring, not that we get to do much of it in the present meta. That said, there something enjoyable in repeatedly firing Disruptors at targets. Death by several cuts.

Plarium’s on something. I’m seeing ridiculous prices on items too. I seriously hope nobody is paying this much for stuff. 🤑

I remember a clan mate on Discord saying they were too weak and too slow. Ruffles also said in a vid that they need to be on either a Stalker or an Orion to be good. The damage stats are definitely poor. Maxed a Dis12 does 15,668 damage per mag (i.e. shot) with a 5.5 second reload. A maxed EG12 does 27,192 dmg per mag, with its 2 shots both happening instantly, and has a 1.5 sec reload. And that's not counting Overheat on the next round. Even if you had the gold Disrupter Reload implant maxed, with a 30% reduction in reload time, 2 Dis12s would output 31,336 dmg every 3.9 seconds vs 2 EG12s shooting 54,384 dmg every 3 seconds (again not including Overheat). The only thing that probably benefits Disruptors is that they are getting 1.5x side damage. Even if you get hit face in by one, the other is probably getting side damage credit. But when you duck both to the side, probably only one is close enough to get damage on you. The AIs you're facing have all maxed gold implants on gold pilots. You're also paying less attention to them while they're swarming. If there was a human player using Disruptors you'd be totally focused on him and ducking all his shots. I get hit by AI Disruptors but it's mostly because I am now ducking the next thing and the plasma ball has finally come near me. Half the time, I accidentally walk into it because I forgot it was still coming. If they ever post a $5ish deal for the 12s, I'll probably get them as a fun gun for my Stalker like OU812? said. But they definitely aren't a close-up weapon.

I figured it was because it was the next super-meta mech, but maybe this is their new direction. Veteran players still aren't rushing to get/max the new gear like they used to. Newer players are buying the new stuff but they're just skipping older items, so it's not any revenue that wouldn't have come in anyway. Whoever has been setting their pricing and in-game economics strategy has really messed up everything, so maybe now they're trying to force higher prices on us. I mean I'm totally guessing here but based on what I've seen players running, their revenue stream has probably shrunk ever since they got rid of the implant discount.

Talking of deals I noticed the 500 A coins for 99c hasn't rolled around for a couple of months now as I always grabbed it,I did see a 99c deal today but it was for only 200 A coins, I wonder if they have done away with that deal now or have they just nerfed the A coin total.
