I have been searching through player lists to see who's obviously tanking and who's not...
And now that I've been doing it a while, the key thing that sets tankers apart is the maximum damage they've ever done.
Maximum damage of over 5,000,000 and you're in "Diamond I"? Tanker.
To me the best way to create groups of players of similar ability is to ignore what's in hangers and use the maximum damage that they've ever delt out. Because this can't be influenced by later player activity there is no way to setup a MK3/lvl150 hanger to fight in Gold unless you start over from scratch.
Max damage over 12,000,000 and you're in Gold? Fine, but you get put into battles with players from champs that also have max damage in the same bracket as you.
Want to go seal clubbing? Create a new commander and buy a whole new hanger full of OP bots/pilots/titans/mothership. Pixonic wins, players win.

Those players paid to be there. No way pix is gonna give up that sweet loot. Me thinks they have finally gone to the bad side of the economics bell curve. Chasing away players. I guess time will tell. I am most likely done paying and playing. The mute MS and drone that sees stealth (or whatever that was) were the final nail for me. I’ll stick aground to see if they right the ship, but hope is dim. Ps. I’m not giving up six pak. |

there's plenty of ways it can be done , grades of gear and levels , grade of full hanger (i say this because many people hide super high lvl weapons on lower level bots (snipers are a perfect example here because they sit 500000000000 miles away they are safe) , max damage as you said , and i said before stop letting people tank as leagues are there for a reason , you get to a league you stay there and lowest you go is grade 3 in that league....i can come up with a hundred more but pix don't care .....
the thing that really really irks me is when they are CLEARLY a heavy p2winner AND they hack as well because all that money paid still doesn't make them good players.....BUT pix ignores that too because again they pay (and in MY opinion pix themselves have a direct link to those hacks being sold) money from both sides of the fence as it where.....
they could do it like the old world of warcraft system and have a hanger grade/level displayed IN the hanger of your current lineup and match that to other players within a margin.

I wouldn't play if that was the case. I've made it to champs, maybe 5-6 years ago now, but as I don't P2W and the highest level bot I have is 1.8, so if I was still playing champs#3 today, I'd just be cannon fodder and there would be zero enjoyment in that.
The "hanger grading" would be very complex to calculate because it is a theoretical ability based on some random "best" combination of everything in a player's inventory.
The "League" match making system is the football team approach but that "works" because the lists of players are rather static.

Yeah I agree, just because you made it to champion, especially now that they changed the point system, almost hard to lose points now. I mean now you would have to really really tank... However, if you make it to champion because you grind out your Mars and Seraph that you built up, then they nerf them into the ground, come out with all that crazy 「dookie」.. Newtons, Ochokochi, Ophions, Mute, unbeatable Rooks and Luchadors, Dagons with 6 guns, all new weps... and here you are stuck in champion.. That's not going to work, all of these people would quit for sure. First of all there should not be a mix of master league people thrown in as Canon fodder for 6k, 8k, 11k, 12k cup people.. thats just ridiculous and it's every freaking game. And pretty much every time, when the match ends, it's those master people always at the bottom of the ranking. Their bots were just picked off like bugs hitting a bug zapper. That's the first fix. I dont know how to stop tankers. Technically, if anyone wants to put their low level bots in matches so they go down in ranks, just so you can beat up people when going back up, thats pretty pathetic. Not sure, logistically, any way to really fix that.

Not sure, logistically, any way to really fix that. ranking system - means nothing reward system - means nothing the only real thing going on now is feeding fodder to the pay to win and if they still can't win they are allowed to hack to ensure victory , there are thousand of videos of people hacking with names and account id's and nothing happens to them ever , victory at any cost to drive the ego driven into paying more. |

The 'easiest fix' I've found is just to stop worrying about the 'win', on all levels. Matches and leaderboards, beacons and scraps. You get what you get with what you got. MM is a joke, but it's the joke we got. I stay because the 'bones' of the game are as good as they've ever been. I love my bots, and I've got pretty tidy with 'em, but I know their limitations. I know when I'm charging into death and it's never going to stop me. Bottom line, it's just a game.

Bottom line, it's just a game. i agree wholeheartedly BUT with one exception - the hacking - it's clear as day when someone is hacking even with the so called subtle hacks even more so when you hanger check after to find out they are running stupidly low level bots but are one shotting you or simply can't be killed. just came out of a game ....OUR team had it completely under control from the outset until......i was firing at the guy he stopped (i thought he gave up) but he stopped for maybe 20 seconds and in that 20 seconds his damage received decreased 99.9% i dotted his lvl 6 bot WITH -mk2 deceiver , mk2 damper , mk2 sting .....the yellow bar came up over him and was MAYBE 1% of his hp ticking away he turned and bam my imugi one shotted (also mk2-10) he systematically wondered around one shotting everyone THEN all beacons turned red and lost.... now this damper/deceiver/sting -max modules imugi and the imugi pilot is devastating even to titans but to this guy ....it wasn't even an issue and i see this more and more frequently. |

I totally get the frustration. I still get mad on a bad day, but on a good day I'm laughing while I'm losing. i do chuckle to myself in some games where it's going amazingly , everyone knows their job , everyone doing their jobs and very well i might add then in a 10 second window bam....lost... couple of days ago i was in a game it was back and forth fighting none stop (love that) total anarchy proper battles then all of a sudden people start dropping like flies .....i think to myself it must be a titan so i use my ox minos (78) double bubble guns and a fulger .....i pop a yellow shield , pop reflector as i'm running into the thick of it and bam dead - yellow shield/reflector and 518k hp gone just like that .....i'm puzzled for a second and i see more people bam dead bam dead.... i get into my skyros and go on the hunt and what do i find! the newest long range map this is going on....i roll up on this...A CRISIS , not only a crises lvl 1 but (as i found out later after checking)it had ONE reaper lvl 1 AND it was positioned behind the spawn position (not on the starting platform but behind it on the snowy part) firing right through the platform , through the pillars on the map and 1 shotting anyone it got in it's cross hairs , i had to chuckle while waiting for the game to end ... |
