Holy Pollapolooza! Another poll!
I’ve got a maxed MD that I want to get serious about in 2024. What should I outfit it with? Would like to make it a great support mech.
Carbines - Got the 8s, 10s, and 12s. They take a lot of implants though. So does MD. Gauss Rifle - Nearly maxed. Good implant selection. Storm Racks -In the shop for a decent price. BP acquisition though. And that reload time? Disruptor - Almost leveled. Fun, but not much of a stand off weapon. Voltaic RPGs - Don’t even have ‘em, lol. Their ability could be a useful support. Quantum’s - Hail Mary Option. Don’t have ‘em, but those abilities appeal.
Other options?
Thanks everyone for your input!

Ok, other than guided weapons like JR and HR, I would go with Disruptor. I don't have it and have never used it, but from what I see on the field, it's a great crowd control weapon and is also pretty good against Eclipse. MD is meant to be played behind tanks and such, so you want something that can be used to support them when the push. Disruptors can do that by clearing a path for the meat shields.
Another possibility is Nade Launchers. I'm really getting my mileage in with these new frozen maps with their ramps and elevated firing positions. Sure, I don't get as many kills vs brawling but it's pretty versatile and it's like playing RMs with almost instant gratification. NLs give you that "from the rear support" function but also gives you close range punch if you get corner. They can also be used in some indoor structures where JR/HR/RM cannot be used and you can use them to hit the ground like you do with DLs - but you will need the radius increase implant though. Reload on the NLs is super fast compared to MR and SR and I think they're a bit faster than DLs too.
And of course, there's the trusty dusty Disc Launchers if you have them!

I go with javs or missile racks on MD. So I chose Storm Rack from your list, for corner shooting.

I’d completely forgotten about DLs. Mine are nearly maxed too and I’ve got some excess legendary DL implants too. Thanks for the suggestion.
