I don't understand the new corrosion, how they've made the health go orange. All it seems to do is turn orange, and then go back red. I tried running the Tricksters on Dagon and I couldn't get a single kill. The weapons only deal the corrosion damage which isn't even a set amount anymore. How do I get kills with these weapons?

They recently updated corrosion so it displays as orange on the health bar so you can get a better visualization of the damage you are dealing. As has been said a lot now though, corrosion does not deal gray damage so the bot can just heal it all back.

I'm yet to speak to anyone who can explain it properly.

I'm yet to speak to anyone who can explain it properly. Challenge accepted. Corrosion is War Robots’ form of damage over time. With the exception of the Acid Guns (which last for 3 seconds) and Orochi’s built-in weapon (which lasts for 15 seconds), corrosion lasts for 5 seconds, with the damage per second being listed in the in-game tooltips (meaning you multiply it by the duration to get the total damage). Corrosion damage shows up as orange on the enemy’s health bar, with light orange indicating health drained by corrosion, and dark orange indicating health to be drained (meaning that when you shoot the enemy, a light orange slit in their health will appear, and then turn into dark orange as the corrosion acts). Corrosion has a few advantages and disadvantages over normal damage. Corrosion’s main advantage is its ability to bypass many forms of robot defense, namely Defense Points (Resistance), Reflector Shields, and Force Fields, and does full damage even if the projectile’s direct damage is lowered by the defense. As far as I know, corrosion is affected by suppression, does not effect energy shields (be them blue, yellow, or purple), and does effect physical shields, so keep these interactions in mind. The downside of corrosion is that it does not deal grey damage, meaning the enemy can fully repair any damage done by it. The damage being applied more slowly also means enemies have more time to react. Corrosion is decent and used to be great for budget, but in my opinion has largely been outclassed by Blast, which bypasses all of the same defenses, but with the benefits of being faster-acting, dealing area damage, and dealing grey damage. Still though, if you have Wasps, Hornets, or Vipers lying around, maybe give them a try.
