What are some of the in game courtesies you practice or have seen? Just looking to hear what others may do.
here is one I try to do - if a med/heavy bot is heading to a beacon with me and I overtake close to the finish, I'll slow down if we are not under fire so we can both record a beacon cap....no point being too greedy. And I know how much it sucks for that slower bot to almost get a beacon cap and then have it swept up by a light bot.
Cheers!

When I'm in a gep and a rhino is coming through I get out of the way. It is much easier for the small more agile bot to clear a path than for a rhino to drop its shield and slowly go around.

When I camp with my Natasha, featuring Zeniths and Noricums, I split my fire, so that everyone will get the enjoyment, to not get hit by a very large missile. ? Sorry, I couldn't resist. Actually, I think of myself as a teamplayer. I support them, when I think, they could use a mag and/or a pinata. I let them take a beacon, instead of ninja it. But reality is, you get nothing back. Maybe some friendly fire. Optical, at least...

I run out in front of a light bot that's being bullied by a mag gep.

I always try to get out of the way if I'm in a slow bot in front of a rhino, since I hate it when I'm in a rhino and have to lower my shield to get around something What are some of the in game courtesies you practice or have seen? You're basically helping someone beat you to the beacon medal

I will beacon share too, in the rare match that anyone else cares to cap. At the start I'll glance at what the other, if any, fast/light blue bots are heading for and adjust my start accordingly. I am not rigid in my start patterns. Drives me nuts when another coss wants to 'buddy' with me and fights for every beacon. Dude, go flank the other side, I can cause enough mayhem for red on my own.
Sorry for the mini rant.
When I come up on an all nori/zeni I'll usually give them a few shots and then hang close, to give them the chance for an honorable out, rather than just being a big old bag of defenseless damage points (although the load out was their choice). If they don't pop their own top quickly, I'll then help them out.
The pilots that pop up occasionally learning how to unstuck him/herself from a nose hanging in their shiny new griff...I will find the next closest real threat first while they sort themselves out. Sadly, usually, the rest of their hanger is way over classed by the Griff, and they have no chance with the rest of their hanger. A hard lesson I was taught, and I now am teaching.
I'm nice like that.

I will purposely let enemy bots liberate beacons before I move in to attack just so I can get the extra beacon cap, and if I have the liberate beacons daily task then I will let the enemy bot finish the cap so I can turn it back. The way I see it, it's a win-win since the enemy and I both get a beacon cap and a liberation if that task is active.

Btw what's the point of recording beacon caps? You're basically helping someone beat you to the beacon medal Because they might be trying to fulfill a beacon daily mission. It's just a courtesy. Nobody is required to do the same thing.

If you are both in the range of the beacon (in the area around the beacon where you can trigger it) when the beacon changes, you both get the credit.

I was talking about a red capper but k OP said they share beacons with the slower mediums. No need to ninja a cap from a Boa that's 50 meters from getting it. You and I can run circles around most of the maps before they can cross them. I cap plenty.

Since I'm using Ecus in low silver, I usually walk with similar speed Rockets and plasma bots with the ecu side towards the reds to curb any incoming sniper/bullet spray while we're getting into position. There's nothing quite like escorting a full health Leo and Boa to a Red spawn beacon. Peep out while they're headed into cover, unload pinatas, turn to ecu and escort them back into cover. I only play randoms, gotta be the kind of help I want lol

Been a light bot beacon hunter and flanking mayhem provider for a while now. I've been wanting to change things up and not care about beacons or gold in every match and just try different things out. Yesterday I trolled a couple games with a noripatton, lol, just to get some vacation camping in. Bought a trident last night and paired it with a Tulum on a boa and chipped away gepards from 475-600m. So back on topic, good idea as a courtesy, I'm adopting it in some battles in the future.

Bought a trident last night and paired it with a Tulum on a boa and chipped away gepards from 475-600m. How'd it work? Not good enough...but what is? Lead is critical for good damage, though splash damage is preety decent. Hard to predict some of the dancing geps at 550m. I went in with trident 2 Tulum 6 for a 1/4 bot/weapon combo. So it wasn't optimal. I did manage to get 2 gep kills on one pilot, but other blues were hammering it too. If the gep pilot is fixated on something other than you, you can give ok support. If the gep turns on you, you might as well eject and deny them the damage points/kill or draw them into your home spawn area and then waste them with a Taran rog or something special like a rdb patton on your inevitable respawn. I'm just venturing into mid range weapons, so it's a bit frustrating. I've always had a hard time hanging back, I want to get right into the fight. But to be a better pilot I need to fully explore all combos and roles. I also have a zeus/hydra Boa I'm rolling out soon to pair with the trident Boa. Leveling up the trident today. Maybe I'll troll it on a schutze and just kick back some. Pair it with a noripatton, zeus/hydra boa and a tri-gekko gepard for some mid/long training fun.

If I see an enemy's health is fast approaching 0, I let my teammate finish him off and get the kill even if I could steal it. The exception is when I know it's a very dangerous bot, and I don't want to take any chances.
When a light bot that just captured one of our home beacons stops bothering to shoot at my Thunder/Taran Boa and just sits there, looking up pathetically with big puppy-dog eyes, I'll stop shooting for a second to pat its little head and say, "Shhh, it's okay. It'll all be over soon," before finishing it off.

I try to follow & add support or flank if I can position to help a kill.
*From this thread I will try to partner on beacons - did not know about that!
*It does seem that when Im tied on beacons, if I do more damage, I lose the coin flip on 5 Au points!?! Wiki says its random (randomly bad) for me.
*Starting out I try to look around so we are not going in same direction to beacons. If it doesnt look like we are gojng to beacons, I try to signal fire in beacon directions to [coax] others to - Get The Damn Beacon!
*On the field I try shooting across the bow of my (blues) to warn them of flanking! Hopefully you can partner out of that & be more effective together on some maps. I have gotten a few squad mates out of it when running solo.

I've done something similar with carnage. If you get up close enough behind a blue teammate, can shield them against rockets and pesky missles.
