Of all of the popular player suggested features like player trading, alternate matchmaker structures, and hangar navigation improvements, the most wanted has to be cross-platform squads and custom games. But for years this idea has essentially been a joke, with any supposed rumors of a full platform merge met with laughter and dismissal, because they never panned out. We had all rightfully adopted a “I’ll believe it when I see it” mentality. But now, against all odds and in the midst of all of the insanity going on right now, Pixonic is letting us see it in a full, official capacity:
This being officially confirmed by Pixonic as being a priority feature being developed is huge, because no news before it has been so credible or straightforward about it. For all of us roughing things out for the slight chance that things get better, this could very well be just that. Buckle up commanders, because this could be the biggest thing since Workshop 2.0!

Interesting.. I tend to lurk dying things anyway and ive been playing again so ill definitely be around but thats even more incentive to do so

This is simply a much stronger sign that the playerbase continues to shrink.
They are just now putting the resources into this because only now is it important.

I am surprised you did not say anything if they had you convinced. i dont watch many of the YT heavy hitters, but sometimes they sneak into my news feed. I think its funny how they are all trolling Pix alot more with the ridiculousness currently. |

Though I may be tempting fate by saying this, I cannot imagine how this would serve the meat grinder in any direct way. Like, besides for maybe increasing the amount of squads in play to put against death squads, I am not sure how letting people play together makes them more susceptible to the meta. I get what you are saying, but I think we are safe with this one. |

Just stopping by after years of casual lurking to say: Every mobile game I ever played - they only merged platforms for two reasons: somehow they figured out how to make more money from it, or the game has a dwindling player base...

Pixonic has announced that with the next update, the friends system will finally be detached from Facebook, with player now friending each other within the game itself, using their in-game IDs. In addition to making friending people much less tedious, it also means that Steam players will finally be able to join in the fun, as their inability to use Facebook kept them out of the previous merge. gus169 Ghathn |
