Yep, it was my favorite past time game after my involvement with Game of War, and a couple other war build up games.
Then, looking for a Mech Warrior type of game, stumbled onto Walking War Robots, and it was fun.. a shooter, but with appeal. Not just GI Joe and pick up a hotter gun... it had guns, yes, and different robots with different abilities..You had different landscapes to fight on and you could even choose a cool skin for your bot. In those days, it had check and balances. If one bot was op, thats ok, because there was something you can use to counter with. The op stuff was strong, yes it was, but you can still fight and have fun with it... Now it is nearly unplayable, it's unpleasant most of the time and it makes me sick just trying to play it. Won't spend money now, for many reasons, but the main reason, spend money, get the "good" weapons and bots only to see them nerf it and before long and after a couple generations its completely obsolete (kiss all that money goodbye) bye bye money!! But hey look at what everyone is using now, oh and it's smashing the 「dookie」 out of my hanger i just invested in... lol bye bye money! Maybe I should get a Crises or Rook and Newton, oh wait how about the newest Ocho, 「fluffernutter」 that (tired of that hamster wheel), The Pigsonic turds ruined what was my favorite past time game. It's so broken I don't know if it's all Pixonic's doing or is it some of these butt heads subtle hacks. AND ITS JUST GOING TO GET WORSE... I'm a second away from leaving the game for good..

I feel the same way. Played since 2016 and now have completely walked away. Really just became obscene.
Was fun while it lasted but dead now.
(Strangely... still enjoy checking in on the forum even with out being an active player.)

Agree completely with what you say but I find there`s still just a little fun left in the game - when you get a good match every now and again, so I`m still in it at the moment. And not sure what I`d do instead if I left - if I could be bothered starting over and putting as much effort again into another game and the ones I`ve tried that people have mentioned seem to be quite inferior in a lot of ways in comparison.

I'm enjoying BoT. More like Walking War Robots, but things are pretty well balanced (Atlas notwithstanding) and you can do just fine without spending $$.
Will it have staying power for me? Maybe, maybe not. Nothing else has. It's good enough for now and that's good enough for me.
And ohmygosh could it be fun if timed drops worked out.

Just tried out Robot Warfare, it's not too bad.. very similar but a few things you can't do as you can in War Robots. One thing you can't do is select another person and look at his hanger and stats.. but overall, not too bad of a game, anyone else try this?

I've about had it with these Newtons.. what's the name of BoT, so I can look this game up BoT is Battle of Titans. It is that more realistic game that is infamous for being developed by ex-Pixonic employees that left around the dash bot era. |

Just tried out Robot Warfare, it's not too bad.. very similar but a few things you can't do as you can in War Robots. One thing you can't do is select another person and look at his hanger and stats.. but overall, not too bad of a game, anyone else try this? It becomes a bit of a drag later on. You learn how to beat the AIs and then it gets pretty repetitive, and the only human players you see all have a fully upgraded Samurai robot what just kills whatever you have. After a while you just release this game is just low budget War Robots and one again find it hard to look past the game’s similarly predatory monetization. |

Ok, I'll try out Battle of Titans, too bad about Robot Warfare, thought it had potential. I kind of thought some of the teammates were acting kind of funny. Here like you said AI.

Pixonic needs to create a Nostalgia battle mode (alongside Domination, Beacon Rush, etc.) that uses hangar based matching, and blocks anything released after the Lancelot was introduced, whatever year that was. And maybe slow down all the bots to something believable for a 20 story high mech.

They can't have players getting off the hamster wheel and having fun for free. |
