Sonics really hurt. Same with any blastcharge weapons if they can charge up the explosion quick enough. Newton hurts as well.

The counter will possibly be the Octopus bot. Occasionally killing one, hurting it a bit more with one set up or waiting for it to cool down isnt a counter. More like a damage limitation exercise. A counter is a set up that consistently betters another set up.

To all the folks trying Bendy Bullets with Lockdown Ammo, stop. Just stop. I hate you more than I hate Ocho, a LOT more.
Also, whereas the team with the most Ochos usually wins, the team with the most Bendies generally loses.

The Ochokochi DoT works in an interesting manner; each instance of damage = 1 stack of dot. What this translates to is higher fire rate gives more stacks. Just a couple seconds of a bendy harpy shooting me in ability is like, 200 defense points (and 40% damage boost). A little revision of my original video: Shooting ochokochi is generally bad, however, weapons with massive damage per shot, low fire rate, and good enough sustained damage that you're not worried about wasting ammo can shoot ochokochi in ability without punishing you and your team too much (can be worth it to pop last stand, deft survivor, or finish a low HP ocho). Now, I wonder what weapon has a super fast reload, insane damage per shot, and a slow fire rate? It couldn't be the newest weapons, could it?

Yeah, I don’t consider it much a threat (unless vs a comms Squad), just irritating AF, lol. Also, is it Ocho that stacks additional DP or the Legendary Pilot and Drone (neither of which I will run until the first next)? Reading the bot description just says a fixed % of DR.

The drone stacks 1% bonus damage per stack up to 35% (with a 5% bonus thats always active). The pilot is a flat 1 defense point per stack of DoT. It can just keep going up and up and make you invincible.

I am running Kestrel though, so it’s not like I’m trying to lose, lol.

I`ve been running Sonic Ravana today to see if it can, in fact, avoid the certain death with the OhSoCockys and it definitely does seem the best thing so far to survive and put some hurt on them. In fact, I did manage to kill a couple (NotSoCockys now) (but then they were probably just fresh out the box level 1 with no pilots or drones or modules or weapons).

I watched the War Robots ad while playing War Robots and the Ochos kills both Lynx and Crisis+Reaper.

I just avoid them too. Let them go spawn raid us, and just get beacons. That's my new strategy and that works out.

I literally don't understand how Okie Dokie even works, but TBH, that's been my problem with pretty much every new meta bot since probably the Nether. All I've assumed is that if you shoot them enough, they die. But I guess that's not the case with Okie. I've run into them with my fully maxed Heimdall with maxed weapons and modules, and dumped fire into Okie for 90 seconds straight with no visible reduction to its health.

I've run into them with my fully maxed Heimdall with maxed weapons and modules, and dumped fire into Okie for 90 seconds straight with no visible reduction to its health. Ochokochi works through the total abuse of corrosion. During its ability (which is all the time it is charging and 4 seconds afterward), all damage it takes is converted to corrosion, which not only couples with its passive (always active) 20% corrosion resistance, but also allows it to fully abuse the fact that corrosion damage does not cause grey damage and happens more slowly. Ochokochi also often has the Hiruko drone at its side, which adds another layer of craziness. Hiruko has an ability that when the active module is activated, it grants extra durability to the robot (akin to the mothership durability extender turret), but applies a corrosion effect that equals the added durability. Given that corrosion damage does not cause grey damage and Ochokochi has corrosion resistance, this penalty is meager. So in conclusion, Ochokochi basically gets an upgraded version of Revenant’s ability, where all damage it takes during the long-lasting ability is fully reparable. And through its drone, Ochokochi can infinitely expand its durability by spamming its active module (something it always does anyway). Needless to say, it is insane.

And how does Pixonic get you to buy the next thing? 1) Make the next thing even more insane. 2) The biggest nerf ever gets applied to Ochokochi & drone.
3) All of the above.
Unless there is a super-massive rebalancing of all robots & weapons (e.g. Reaper needs its damage reduced by 80%), the path forward is more of this Ochokochi nonsense but only worse.

What 「fluffernutter」ing 「bum-bum hole」 came up with that "ability"? No wonder Tofsla looked so irritated during his last update video. Probably having to deal with some spoiled nephew of a My.Games shareholder who thinks he's a game developer.

I have a new plan that seems to work pretty well. Ocho’s AND Newtons don’t bother me anymore now that I’ve taken the War Games “winning move” approach.
Someone wake me up after this craptastic meta is over. And if the next round is just another double-down on stupid, that will make it real easy to get in my own bubble bath.

This is my newest tactic.
1. Throw my 5 bots at 1 Ocho 2. Take off a sliver of their health 3. Glance at the big green button that says "titan" and pray that it is full 4. Jump into redonkadonk Luchador that seems to bore the crap out of Ocho pilots because it's apparently no fun to try and kill anything that takes more than one weapon cycle to delete. 5. Hunt them to reinforce the "no fun" aspect 6. Wait til magic blue forcefield stops eminating from their bot and let fly with sonics into their face 7. High five myself for this massive accomplishment 8. Wait around 5 more seconds for the "revenge" attack to come from either a maxed out Newton or another coochie bot.

FAFO, but if we are on carrier or Yam, or any map that you can get yeeted off, that is my number one priority.
