MA: Anyone realize Fusion 16 is in the pipe?

So, no word on Carbines getting any love, but Fusion Cannon 16 is coming down the pipe.
With the heavy monetization push, it seems they might be walking back making so many Legendary items in rapid succession.
The gearhub kind of kills any hype for lower rarity gear, because people that are "in the appropriate teir" for non-legendary gear still don't have a pipeline for when items become available for in game currency.
6EN Fusion cannons are going on 6 months, and are still $$$ only.
Low teirs are pay2win hell where pocket change players temporarily get to feel like whales, as the uninitiated, buy high teir gear for <$20, not realizing they're just back-loading the $$cost as A-coins. The days of $15 for Guardian and MR8, or Zephyr Carb 8, at their appropriate ranks, are over.
There are some really funky deals like R4 Cheetah/Zephyr with R2 MR8 for $25.
But I digress, at least it's another sub-par item for 32en AI to roll out, though it probably won't feel that way:
