Hello, gentlemen. Got a question I should know the answer to. Do I plant just just increase off the base stats? Or is there a stacking strategy?
I’ve got an opportunity to get the epic disrupter damage implant in the shop. Debating if I should grab and go or wait for an opportunity to snag legendary implants. The competitive side says wait. The frustrated with Plarium side says frugality wins. I have the legendary disrupter reload implant and I run Diesel with the disrupters. Still in the hunt for epic or legendary disrupter radius implant.
Thanks for any input you might have. Cheers.

The game doesn’t let you ‘stack’ implants that will boost any single weapon or ability. I’m not sure how they work in conjunction with pilot boosts, though - like adding a specific weapon damage implant on top of the pilot’s weapon type damage increase. I’m assuming the implant’s increase will be on top of the pilot’s.
As for waiting for a legendary implant, I don’t - this hame gives you everything but what you really want or need, because they want you to blow ridiculous resources to get it. If I see something I can use right now, even if there’s a better one, I grab it, because I could be dead before it gives me the ‘opportunity’ to buy the better one. That’s just one more thing I really hate about this game - you can keep refreshing the implant list in the shop for the modest cost of 80 a-coins, of which you could possibly go through thousands before getting one you want, on top of the thousands it will cost you for the implant itself. F that you greedy mf’ers.

Legendary damage implants do not appear in the shop, nor do legendary mech ability implants. They only drop from crates. The total % of bonuses are all applied to the base stat as a single bonus from the pilot. Pilot bonuses are additive IE: 40% Weapon damage + 30% Weapon Specialization damage + 30% Weapon damage implant= 100% increase As opposed to 30% Implant damage applied to damage stat after 70% base pilot bonus. Only one implant of each type per weapon/mech can be equipped at a time. It would be hilarious to have double Epic Radius mods on disk launchers and just nuke the entire stage.

Thanks for the explanation. Yeah, I was wondering if implants stacked on top of the total after pilot bonuses. Good to know. Doesn’t make that extra 7% damage between epic and legendary always look worth the $$$ or A-Coin costs.

Paying for or sinking resources into implants seems to be an investment in diminishing returns. The rewards of victory are often for pearly adopters and players who pay to push upgrades to get things battle ready. Plarium’s adding enough new content and BP acquisitions take long enough that I realize I’m just as well off grabbing low hanging fruit. Plus, I had spent for legendary Jav implants ages ago and now they sit, rarely used.

I’m done grabbing any fruit, other than cheap a-coin offers. I seem to be in a good spot right now with my mostly low-level gear - R3 Tengu with SG4’s, and R4 Lancer with JR4+6. I have the higher level guns to equip both of these maxed without having to change pilots. The only thing I don’t have is a legendary guided weapon pilot, but at this point I don’t see enough of a return over Rosa to justify that expense and repeating the whole rank up process all over again. As long as MM and the opposition don’t go haywire as I rank this stuff up, it’s going to take me a very long time to continue upgrading it, and I have no need or desire to replace it.
