You can even see the sparks briefly, where the shot hits the rocks in front of me. How can that kill me?

Yeah, the edges of cover have had unreliable hit boxes for a while. If it will be a near miss or hit, bet on it being a hit.

Well, if the video showed your killer, the very end shows a Weber Typhon. Any chance you were receiving fire from two sources, and the sparks came from source 1, and the kill shot came from the Typhon?

You can clearly see the shot from the Webers as the guy fires them, hitting the rock producing sparks. Then at the bottom it says I was killed by webers. I wasn't getting fired at by anyone else. |

I wasn't getting fired at by anyone else. i've had it with visual effects delay , you fire and there's a delay between what you see and what you did ....his shot may have been fired while you where out of cover but with the delay it looks like it shot through cover.
it happens often for me when i take a shot at a ranged target with my gauss jager i thought i missed because they get behind cover but suddenly they die to that same shot
