I don't know if it normal for test server but this weekend on the test server, when I replace a mothership weapon with something else, the original is destroyed.
I haven't checked to see if I got the silver for it...

That is just how it is now with update 9.3. When turrets are removed, they are destroyed with no compensation, essentially making them consumable upgrades to motherships.

Dont be surprised if they also monetize weapons and passive modules the same way, having them destroyed if you remove them from a robot.

Well at least you can't upgrade mothership weapons so there's no loss there.
I suspect that this comes back to their trial earlier in the year with removing all equipment from bots that aren't in your hanger. it sounds like there are inefficiencies at the backend to do with equipment and database tables. a problem they have made for themselves because they keep bringing out new equipment and people don't sell (destroy) their old equipment/bots.
But yes, the more things change now, the more they get worse and not better.
I wonder if they'll try something like "any bots/weapons/pilots not used in X months get mothballed/desrtoyed."

I’m honestly hanging on by threads now. Really am. Got my setups just how I want. Yet I also realize I’m trying to do a few things real world and well, Pix doesn’t factor into those plans. PAY to play may soon really turn into Login costs this much, these matches cost this much, those matches cost that much. Pay to actually PLAY, even access your hangar. I would not be surprised if that’s in the works soon.
Then the whales can be content with playing other whales.

Even though you cant upgrade turrets, people have legitimately won these through spending real money and in-game earned currencies. Players have BOUGHT & EARNED the turret content, and these 「fluffernutter」ing 「bum-bum hole」 devs believe it is ok for it to be destroyed with no reasonable compensation. No, not believe, know that they can easily get away with it because they have done so much 「fluffernutter」ed up stuff to us over the years (or not done important things) and people just keep paying and playing despite these horrible bait and switch conditions. This fact sends Pixonic the crystal clear message that they can get away with doing anything they want to the players and the players genuinely dont care, because they will just keep paying and playing regardless of how broken the game is or how much the players are 「dookie」 on. So again, as much as we dont want to hear it, the majority of blame for this situation is really the players. |

Yet despite this pathetic situation, it is as if players just dont get it, like they dont see it, and when some bull「dookie」 comes out that is an utter slap in the face, like ultimate 「fluffernutter」ing orkans, seriously, the players drain all their gold and spend real money to buy more gold to try and get these 「fluffernutter」ing Orkans. Are you kidding me? Anyways, this turned into quite the rant, as I hate this company for what they’ve done and despise myself for supporting them. Never again. As Manni said, they are evil.

In other words, the only way to play War Robots and not lose money is as F2P - giving them any of your real money is just a mistake.

I honestly think Pixonic would kill the game if they did this. People are already frustrated about turrets, but the spenders having their entire equipment collections be destroyed would probably break even their addiction, making them leave with everyone else. |
