Both has pro and cons.
Typhon brings more firepower, yet Mars has the turret.
Typhon is faster, yet Mars is tougher.
Typhon has Blackout, yet Mars has a better shield.
Been running a K-Laser Mars since Saturday and been enjoying it, but am intrigued with this idea.

I have both maxed and find Mars way better and it`s still one of my top bots. Typhon, on the other hand, I rarely use due to it always seeming to die very quickly and, I don`t know why, but the Blackout rarely seems to be of much use. Maybe it`s just down to me not being so good with it as I do still come across red ones which seem really strong. I also find with Mars that using the turret brings something different and fun to the game.

I also find with Mars that using the turret brings something different and fun to the game. Mars and I have a rough history. I donât pilot it well. I know the idea - find a place to throw the turrets and just soak up the damage. But, every time I try that, I get nailed by Orion/Scorpion. Thatâs why I went with the K-Lasers, as a last resort. And itâs a great match, imo (not that my opinion is worth a ratâs 「bum-bum hole」). |

I'd lean Mars for the same reason I've started an illicit love affair with the Ravana: the best ability is availability. Survivability is also accepted by the judges.

It really just comes down to how much you value the Blackout ability. If you really like EMP + Lock-Down for easy kills, do Typhon, but otherwise, do Mars.

We hear it a lot, play what you like.
Mars is very effective, but fwiw, I run a speed demon ghost Typhon with Pulsars and shield-breaker and take out a lot of Mars. Theyre my main prey in Typhon, because the pulsar has such incredible precision, and the speed enables me to do quick evasion as well as quickly access LOS on targets.

I have it on my Venom Typhon and Redeemer Erebus. That’s certainly something Mars can’t do. Something else to consider: Daredevil skill. If I remember correctly, at max level it adds another 18.75% damage to your weapons. Like ghost, you’ll lose the Blackout but it’s another option to play with. |

I run ghost skill and blast shotties with Eddie knoll on typhon. It is my favorite bot. I can go on a killing and beacon rampage with it unless I run into multiple SB nethers. Or stabbie lynxes. Then I better get outta dodge quick like. My maxed Mars is kinda eh to me. It’s ok but not nearly as fun or effective.

For an alternative to Mars and Typhoon.... I'm running the K-Lasers on an Eldritch Ares. Two medium and Two light. I upgraded to the Warren Ozu pilot which gives Ares a 30% reduction in ability cool down. He is at MK2.12 so the built in weapon packs a punch and it cools down super fast. For some added laser fun I have that (silly looking) Daltokki Drone. Ares has decent speed but is pretty soft so you have to be careful with jumping in and out of cover. The fast cool down of the shield really helps. One Nuke, One Repair and one Immune add to the overall hit power, speed and durability. It's really pretty fun and those guns look good on it! (Aesthetics do count!!) (Like everyone else need to watch out for the Crisis/ Reapers.)  |

Typhon drags mars' 「bum-bum」 through the mud without question
You can get inside a mars shield
I dare you to try getting inside typhons
Typhon shield lasts for days if built right
And its good at taking the heat cuz it runs the damn kitchen
In lame-mens terms (yes i know bad joke shush you fun hating scoundrel) it takes lot pew pew to go boom die
Seriously typhon was not something i expected to be such a tank
