While playing a match on Carrier, I ran into this guy in his Spiky Nemesis.
Kudos to him (or her): he was a colossal PITA in the tunnels underneath the deck and got 2 of my robots. Curious about what he did with his build, I checked it out after the match and saw a few interesting details.*
For one, I don't agree with the use of Nitro Unit. Sure, there's more top end speed, but Immune Amp also gives the health benefits plus the assorted debuff resistances once the stacks build. And the speed doesn't drop off once you take much damage unlike the Nitro. Still, to each his own.
Also, I'd never seen anyone use that Shai drone other than in a Youtube video so I checked it out more in depth. I can see why he'd choose that, especially since Pix has repeatedly nerfed the Armadillo.
Curious about the skills, this is where things got a bit more interesting.
I wouldn't choose Mechanic as well as Repair Amp (I believe RA overwrites that skill). Everything else is understandable. It also got me thinking about his use of the Scout ability.
Oh, look! A rabbit hole.
At max level Scout trades 6.25% durability for 9.4% faster speed. When I fired up my own Nemesis pilot, I found that you can have both Scout and Cautious Pilot abilities simultaneously (which I can attest to on my own having just purchased both).
So in addition to Road Hog (15% speed) and Armor Expert (15% durability), you also end up with an additional 12.5% durability (18.75 - 6.25) and 0.1% speed (9.4 - 9.3).
Replace the Nitro for the Immune Amp, you get another 10% health.
Gimmicky? Sure, but my 2/6 Nemesis has just a little under 300k health now and isn't loaded with metatastic foolishness.
* Also note the innovative use of Reapers on the Lynx!

I was more focusing on the trades from the pilot skills. I thought it was surprising that Pix would allow us to have both of those.
Also, from a purely speed-oriented standpoint, I think there's an argument to be made on using a Kestrel that's at least level 9. I can't help but wonder if the other Nemesis driver was a speed freak that has the drone to give defensive applications for added survivability. I wonder if it might be a little better to be more well-rounded with pilot skill and module usage and have a Kestrel (or other) drone to make up for some of the lost offense and speed.

Say more about this. I hadn't thought about it before. I'll be honest (I try to anyway): This is something I picked up at some point in the past from what I took to be a reputable source (Youtube, presumably). I simply accepted it as gospel. I haven't tested it and having tried to dig up the info over the last ~10 minutes I haven't managed to find anything tangible.
I'd be willing to do some testing, though.

I'd like to try Spikes, but mine are currently under-leveled. I've been gradually chipping away, but other stuff has taken precedence.
Currently, the most obvious and possibly-decent options are Sonics or BSGs. I don't have any or I'd consider Ultimate Orkans. Matched with a leveled Kestrel I could see that being awesome.
I'm happy to upload some video to Youtube, but don't know how people are successfully capturing HD video from the game. I tinkered with it a few weeks ago (including futzing with the game graphics settings) and wasn't able to get past SD. Seems like an alternate recorder beyond the standard iOS screen recording option is needed?

In its first outing (and playing with the big boys and girls, too), I annihilated a MK3 Ultimate Ares with a combo of my BSGs and the built-in rockets.
I don't recall how much health he had before I unloaded, but as Major Payne said:
The final score just for reference vs the competition. Pay no attention to my score: the vast majority of the damage came from other sources.

It's not really CQC but my son's running a very highly leveled Nemesis with Scorchers and I think he's been happy. Good range and effect sync. |

Game #2 Power Plant. This had everything from M1 down to Expert 2. Gear was a mix of MK3 down to some MK1 stuff depending. A lot of stuff in mid/upper MK2 as you'd expect these days with max Titans. I didn't see a single Rook, though.
I don't remember what this one was.
Sonic Angler. I got the drop on him and unloaded, he started charging me to get inside 200m, saw he wasn't going to get there then triggered Electric Shift to close the distance and avoid some damage. I finished him off when he came out of the Shift.
Don't remember what this was, either.
Mars with tunnel vision. He was focused on E beacon and by the time he knew he was going to die, his shield was almost gone along with most of the remainder of his health.
This was a Typhon. I'll take 100% credit for the entire kill. Initially, he was on top of the rise overlooking D beacon pot-shotting at Blues assaulting D. From C, I went up the slight rise adjacent to the building and took out his shield and some health. He fled. I dropped back down the rise and got to about where you see my robot in the picture and finished him off. By the time the match was over, I dropped the Venom Typhon (first), Nemesis, Cinder Minos, and had the Ghost Redeemer Erebus for the last ~15 sec of the match (no damage dealt or taken).  |

Thx for the sitreps. I used Nemesis for a brief period when it first came out and really enjoyed the mechanics of it, but I could never quite find a really combat efficient weapon it, though I did get some decent work out of it with Pulsars, and with Igniters. Sounds like bsgs and fireballs are good choices. Maybe I’ll look into it and give it a go

Did it then quickly "noped" my way back down again. M3 and M2 seem to be my happy place. It's a decent balance of decent gameplay without all the tankers and without as much of the max meta crap. I get a little bit of either end of the spectrum, but not too much of either. |

Now that I am thinking about it, this could actually be a really good in the current meta. With Crisis being the only bot commonly with Shieldbreaker and the drone rebalance altering play to no longer revolve around absorber shields, Nemesis really could catch players off-guard. The meta is currently favoring short duration, short cooldown defenses, so Nemesis really does fit the bill for a good bot right now. The obvious caveat is the lack of firepower, but good play and usage of meta weapons obviously alleviates that. I am loving this so far and good luck with the further tests!

On a somewhat similar theme, I watched a guy kick a whole lot of butt with a Stabby Demeter on Shenzhen today. He had 3 IAs, Unstable Conduit, and the expected pilot skills for healing, speed, and health with extras for faster and cheaper active module usage. Yeah, Demeter has really been kicking butt after the drone rebalance. I am surprised people do not talk about it more. I would like to dig into it, but mine is currently 1/9 and I don’t have enough good weapons that would pair up well with it either leveled (BSGs) or at all (Stabbies). For some reason I’m reluctant to use Sonics or Atomizers even though I have enough of each that are leveled sufficiently to give them a shot. |

They have the utility to be great up close and decent a little farther away which works well for it. |

BSGs, Rust Rockets (before the nerf anyway), Fainter, Haropoons, and even Pulsar are good on Demeter in addition to Mars. I myself use Sonics and like them, though I agree their burst damage nature is a turn off point. The nice thing about Sonics though is that they unload during the duration of your ability, so you can empty your magazine and then slide into cover and reload both your weapons and your ability. |

This wasn’t vs S-Clanners, but Nemesis getting it done vs a Fenrir.
He would have been better off bum rushing me, but the Fenrir was plenty stout. It took a while to wear him down.
