Sweet Jesus 「fluffernutter」ing Christâ¦one day, Iâm in Expert, piling up wins, feeling great about the game, loving that I gained 350+ cups, largely based on some ideas I picked up here.
Then I get into Masters. Havenât won more than 3 games in a day in over a week. Before, I might finish 6th once every three or four games (assuming about a dozen games a day). Now, Iâm looking for basement apartments to shorten my commune.
Before I would see a Rook every once in a while, same with a Reaper Crisis. Now, when I donât see Rooks and at least one Reaper Crisis, I wonder if Iâve been thrown through a rip in the time space continuum into a different plane of existence.
Just damn.

Yeah, the whiplash when entering Expert and especially Master league is palpable. Good luck!

wait til you get the S clan spawn raping, its glorious. I remember those…them taking 4 beacons before you can get past your home beacons and it never let up. Starting with the Phantoms…still wake up with night terrors. |

I think we could all gin up a reasonable facsimile that would still get the point across.
Serious question: How about something along the line of "violated by?"

Back to the general theme -- I agree with the basic tenet. It can be quite a rude awakening to run into all the most meta of the nastiness. It's also why a lot of honorable Forumites do everything they can (short of outright tanking) to stay in the lower leagues.
Unfortunately, I keep drifting upward. The only two good things I've found are: 1. It's made me use a bit better thinking cap to try to figure out ways to work around the meta.
2. That there are far less tankers.

diamond league is full of these and far far worse then it's evey been , on top of this .....this guy was speed hacking too

the moment the game started all beacons went red and he was sat under the map ffs lol i still managed to snipe 2 kills (angler/lazer) but it wasn't even worth moving from the spawn |

I ran a fun experiment last week when I was on the cusp of breaking thru to masters for the first time in many months. I went against my pattern and loaded my 5 maxed drones onto my 5 Strider hangar and put my crack pile into play for the first time in forever (I usually keep my drones on my Rogs with no crack so I can STAY in expert)
For some reason the MM let me blast thru with very little resistance and I settled into masters for a few fun days, saw a bunch of old familiar names I haven’t seen in a long time. Then one morning…BAM! Like a switch being thrown, all the toxic came raining down game after game after game. I dismantled everything and gladly slid back into the much saner experience in expert.
end of story, ice cream time now!

(yup) all the way up to master3's and this is NOT during updates this is all the time no matter what time/day i play.
sad part is i paid some money in a long time ago but since then i've not paid a penny and i wont but since those days i'm facing full hangers of mk3 tankers almost every game no matter what league they are in and my team mates are usually moderately in the right league with lvl 7-9-12 bots (with a few brand new players thrown in who opt out after the first bot) sometimes i can and have held a game pretty much solo and won still but that's a rarity , it used to be the case of you'd get a couple of games to draw you in (even teams) but not any more now .....the vast majority are tankers who i face with anything from 20-40k games maxed hangers AND quite a few of them hacking to top it off as well.....the game has huge potential but they ruined it all from the ground up and it's only getting worse as each day passes.
