Just in-case others are nearly as lost as I am (was?)... This weeks 6P Faction Wars (Aug. 2nd & Aug. 5th / 2023 @ 9PM CT) must meet the following criteria:
6 Pack Faction Wars! (Revised Original rules, by Cdr. Crimmins ) Mediums and Lights are 'free'. Every Heavy in your hangar must be balanced by a Light. So, the following hangars can be deployed: HHMLL HHLLL HMMML MMMMM MMMML MMMLL and so on until... LLLLL GENERAL RULE 0: All bots in your hangar must come from the same faction. GENERAL RULE 1: No ancilots allowed in Camelot hangars. GENERAL RULE 2: The fifth nonexistent slot in a 4 slot hangar can be used to balance one heavy as if there was a Light bot in it. Same if you only have 3 slots, or two. Factions listed along with their bots in the graphic below: 
FYI: "ancilot" = an Ancile in ones Lancelot's heavy slot, regardless of its medium slotted weapons.

Sry, not to be a party crasher, but those rules make my brain hurt. The new Sage Tournaments is much simpler and less uptight.

Crimmins just likes to list out every corner case since their have been tons of cases where people could not find out things for themselves. These are the actual rules Factions Wars is built on: 1. The hangar must only consist of robots from a specific faction (see the list in the OP). 2. There must be a light robot for every heavy robot. The Sage Tournaments also has its fair share of redundant explanations for similar reasons (ie them saying Orkans are level 9 after already saying everything is level 9, likely to clarify to Android 6 Pack players who are used to Orkans being more highly leveled than everything else), so do not act so high and mighty about it. Also, Faction Wars is an off-night rule set that is not run often, and is easily one of the most complex rule sets, both things you would know if you were involved with 6 Pack  . |

Faction Wars are, along with Frankenbot Night and Squirt Game, among the most complicated of the off week alternate formats we run. This is why the last time we ran Faction Wars was July 2022. Many off the off weeks are quite simple, like Cricket Night, Light Night, or Mediums. Some are slightly more complicated like No Heavy Highlander or Trolls and Goblins (1 heavy, 4 lights). All help keep things fresh, give every bot a chance to shine, and give everyone a taste of what they like most. Of course, sandwiched between the off weeks we run Casual 6 Pack, where any tournament legal hangar is what you can bring. So half the time we can be said to be ‘non-uptight’. You’ve said you had a bad experience with 6 Pack years ago. Fair enough. That being said that was two sets of 6 Pack Admins ago and the iOS league tournament has been defunct since June 2020. What you have brought up several times now is literally old history. None of the people you had issues with still play 6 Pack, haven’t played for years. I love the fact that Sage is running their Retro Tournaments. The more the merrier! Level 9 gear across the board is hardly 6 Pack though, considering the cost to level a single Taran to 1.6 is 2.6 million Ag with an additional 10.6 million Ag needed to get it to 1.9. 6 Pack by that measure is 20% as expensive as the Retro Tournament. So it’s really comparing apples to oranges if you ask me. |

So in this 6 pack league, you must use all bots level 9 or lower including weps?

(basically; robots & weapons are limited to level 6, and other restrictions apply reminiscent of the games humble beginnings, i.e., no drones/pilots/motherships/modules, etc.)
