I’ve come to the conclusion that the War Robots community (a microcosm of society, really) has a bunch of 「female dog」es in it. Like whiny little people.
I’ve decided I really like my Angler. It's quite a lot of fun, like Ravana. I deliberately didn’t level it until after the nerf, so I’d only learn the “new” version. I’m having so much fun that I decided to splurge and really amp up skills today. I was already getting at least one kill per match with a lot of blue and purple skills.
Maybe it’s not as OP as it used to be, but if something has to be Godmode for you to have success, then YOU are the problem.
Looking forward to running the new skills I got as well as the more powerful versions of what I already had.

Tag team with another Angler and that’s when the trouble happens as 2 or more are ferocious buggers I don’t run into too many Anglers these days and those I do tend to play very afraid. I’m not generally over aggressive, but I don’t participate in the “pop up/out, shoot a few times, then run back to hiding” thing. |

Nobody is saying it actually is bad to play and is ineffective, it is just that some of us oppose it on a conceptual level. I actually am leveling one myself since I think the nerf was adequate as well.

I got my Angler right before the nerf. Mind you it was & still is at such a low lvl I didn't even feel the nerf much as a few lvles on it put it back at when I got it plus new mod slots.
Agreed they aren't seen as much anymore since they aren't completely broken anymore. Those of us in the forums already know that broken items will always excel in War Robots and will only be played by those who like them after a true rebalance or a crippling nerf.

I have one, but I put it in the category of Leech, anything with a purple shield, Scorpion: for me, playing one would make my skin crawl. If you can, have at it. All good. I just think they are over the over the top level that everything in this 「fluffernutter」ing cursed mind「fluffernutter」 of a game is. Story: Was playing my Razdor Typhon; guy brings out his Angler, tries to kill me. I back up, using Ghost and kill him. 「female dog」 goes after me the rest of the game, |

Angler is still very viable. You'd be surprised the amount you still see in champion league, mostly equipped with sniper weapons now. Decay and blight builds can be a pain to get rid of because they can just go into phase shift.

Decay and blight builds can be a pain to get rid of because they can just go into phase shift. Less brawling setups since the Rust/Angler nerf. I see more "light saber" builds now. EDIT: J.u.n.k.M.a.l.e. started this trend from the beginning before the nerf BTW with a full Taeja/Hwanji build long ago. EDIT #2: I tend to range all squishy bots without speed, but I also do this for all my bots to start with before making permanent builds. builds should also be made to play style. |

I have a similar experience with the Baihu Lynx I got, its so damn stupid looking, but fun in a weird way. The ability listed in its info really isnt that great... its secret ability is very effective though:
Its so damn stupid looking it momentarily stuns and/or confuses other players, and while theyre scratching theirs heads, or puking, saying '「whiskey tango foxtrot」 are those wheels?', I can attack or escape. Nice thing is, the ability is always on, no need to activate.

I find it hilariously ironic people acknowledge what people like BB can do with bots like 「gosh darn 」 cossack (still one of my top five to play) but its just absurd to them that Jaeger could even conceptually be used |
