I am finding rewards from ads that force open the Playstore at the end of playing time out and fail to show rewards when returning to the game,is this just a visual bug and rewards still register as the number of watchable ads drops by one.
I tell myself to watch my credits number before playing ads but keep forgetting so it's easier to ask you guys.

Agree. Ads are wacky. I've brought a few issues up with PIXO and they said it was based on their advertisers settings and basically out of PIXOs control... or something like that. Buyer/Watcher beware!Issues I've seen with ads:- multi rewards being unavailable (especially those including microchips.. or the components ad showing as unavailable, immediately followed by an offer to buy said components that I am currently building) - watched vs. unwatched button not updating correctly (button gets stuck as available, and I've watched multiple ads with zero reward... have to restart the game to fix this one) <--- this sounds like your issue- 4hr update ads unavailable, but I can watch other ads (chalked this up to watching too many ads during a -40% off upgrades spending spree) - ad brings me to a circle-jerk never ending link to the Apple App store and/or a web browser that I have to force quite and force return to the game for zero reward - ad locks up, game locks up forcing a restart of the game for zero reward - etc. I've also noticed that right around the time the Supply Center (little drone icon, right of the custom game icon) and/or Clan (circle check box right of Supply Center, then last tab) ads become available, I can go on a 4-5-6 or more ad watching spree and speed though a days worth of 4hr upgrade time reductions. Some ads are scumlords that have 2-3 false timers before they're actually "done". Evony and lords mobile being the worst.
Also, 40 coins for 2 ads(50 with the spend 2k credits task) seemed to be too generous of an allowance per day. Only got 3k credits today.

On the plus side, once in a blue moon, I'll get the same 5s ad every time I click to watch an ad. Those are the real gems!
