so basically the same rollout as normal bot pilots. We get the generic ones, then they become bot specific, even weapon or ability specific, same path as pilots, then multiple pilots for said titan, THEN drones, THEN...... |

Well, yes but I also think no. I put Yang Lee on my Heimdall and there were a lot of possible skills that were Heimdall-specific. You still have your Road Hog and Mechanic and so on, but there were more complicated ones. |

PREDATOR ran one on the live server on a ROOK. >2,000,000 HP.
I think he is right about the Meta. Every Champion and Masters with Deep Pockets will be running this Bot/ Pilot. Maxed.
Games will be a lot of Dead small bots and an endless Circle Jerk of ROOKs. I predict a lot or rage quitting as this is going to be terrible for everyone else.
Remember when Shell was the Meta? Handful of Shells all standing around shooting each other. Same.

What if we just stop playing?
Sometimes i think we forget how much impect we Personally could have if we cared enough to try
If we want to stop them from further ruining the game why dont we act on it
If we stop that means others will too and it will snowball eventually it either dies completely or gets fixed
Otherwise it will continue poisoning itself and inevitably will die

yea, they just nuked their player base. this game is almost on life support. Yeah. It continues to really disappoint. What is SUPER sad is it does not have to be this way. I've made this comparison before but I also play Clash of Clans. Been playing in the same Clan for at least as long as I've been playing War Robots (~2016.) They continue to innovate the game, dropping updates and new content a couple times a year. There has NEVER been a single change in the game that legitimately pissed me off or made me want to take a break from the game. You can spend a bit of $ on in game content but you can be 100% content, competitive and progress with spending $0.00. I personal spend a few $$ here and there on Skins or something silly like that expressly to support the game and the developers. Granted these are very different games but I think it is fair to make the comparison that an EXTREMELY successful game and do so without alienating its player/ fan base and turn into an unhealthy money grubbing grind. War Robots could be a healthy, fun, competitive game but it chooses not to. Super disappointing. |

I certainly have faith in this group. There are certainly recent examples of the people sending a strong message to Brands and Corporations. (How much has BUD lost over the last few months??) That said I have no idea for the rest of the player base. I really have no idea how big it truly is. I suspect for every 1 of us there are 100's who either don't care, embrace and wallow in this BS or are kind of "fair weather players." If this does in fact become a ROOK circle jerk I may take a rest until the dust settles. If it's anything like the advent and rise of the Shell the game got very boring. Same old same old with PIX. |

I find this entertaining in a sick, twisted way really. Now that I am in the middle leagues and barely play at all outside the Time Drops or 6 Pack, I can fully indulge myself in watching the insanity of the meta from a distance. It really is quite a spectacle to watch Pixonic find ways to ditch all potential new features have to make the game better and just go hard on the monetization and power creep. It almost feels disappointing when a new feature or equipment piece is not insanely game-breaking because of how normalized this practice is.

My time with the game is very similar to my relationship with the real world. Many look to societal norms to provide a litmus, a compass to calibrate from. That’s not what I’m about. I do what I do to do the best job I can with what I have. Others do what they’re going to do.
I’m going to continue doing my thing. When it proves to be untenable, I will take a break. Perhaps that break becomes quite lengthy.
Whether within the game or in the outside world, the world will continue to spin regardless of whether I’m in it or not. Over the last six years, there have been many different moments when we have sworn “this is it” — That Thing that kills the game and have been proven wrong every single time. Rather than getting caught up in the hysteria, I’m just going to keep on keeping on. I’ll be the ant that keeps trucking amidst the maelstrom.
