I’m appreciating the new map this morning and looking forward to the others this week.
Today’s seems especially effective for Guardians, Zeph and Surges. Bastions and Gatecrasher also. Disc Launchers excel weapon wise and railguns are very effective. I’m having fun with my MR Orion.

Played around with a couple different setups, but Stalker DL12 and Panther DL16 are working the best for me so far. A lot of standing back near the spawn and blind firing where opponents are likely to be, especially against human players. I wish I had a Brickhouse for this map. Then I could go Stalker DL12, Brickhouse DL16+8 and Bastion DL16+8. Otherwise it seems better to keep the 16s together for more firepower.
It's a shame to hear Nade Launcher doesn't work well. I was hoping you could angle it low enough that it would be a good fit. But mine is so under levelled I have yet to really use it and understand its limitations.

If you stand near the center you can get kills shooting down the sides. Can't angle it over the center obstacle though. Seems like it would need to be on a Bastion since you're close to center & taking fire. It'll be a while before I get mine levelled (ditto for Impulse) so we'll see, but it might have some potential on that map.

I did that same tactic with DL16 and honestly, it works better with DL16. The NL is so psychotic and so hard to predict or control the angle of the shots. Sometimes they go up and sometimes they go straight. The only consistency I've had with them is point blank in your face range. At that range, the MR12 does damage faster but the NL12 reloads faster. MR12 also has higher overall damage and therefore more chance of finishing off your target. For a splash weapon, the NL has a ridiculously small splash radius.
I think the NL still has potential though because when you factor in the range and the shooting over obstacles, it makes the NL a better overall general-type weapon that you can use as a harasser or as a point blank SSK.

It's a good opener but as AI ramps up I think I need to get more aggressive as my matches started dropping below 300pts. Even being focused on the mini-map it can be hard to judge the best spots to bounce a DL to get a hit. Didn't explore the hallways much but DL Redeemer was kinda fun there. Could imagine a DL Eclipse doing well too because of the immunity to abilities although the stealth wouldn't be much help. DL Bastion seemed to work better on the sides than in the center for me at least.

Today's map is definitely interesting. Seems like the first tourney map designed specifically for Javs/Helixes. Unfortunately I do not have any levelled versions of either beyond my old Jav6s. But it looks like it is also a fun map for Surges. After doing so-so with Disc builds, I started opening with Surge AT12 and then I'd drop Guardian RG16 second, sniping/brawling my way up the middle. Got a couple games of 400+ points against AI with that.
Human players are tougher. Had only a few matches against those, but most were p2w players with HR16 & 12 maxed already. Interestingly they didn't score that great and AI actually won a couple of those matches for them, but they were tough to deal with. Equipped Shadow AT6+10.for my last match, since I don't have Eclipse and it did ok, so gonna try that out more in the future.

So on Sunday's map I ran across a player running Lancer EMR8. Turns out you can jump up on top of the roofs on the side to snipe. There are even a couple spots to hide for cover up there. Tore my team up pretty nicely the first match, the second I took him out early with my Rails. Came across him again in a later match but he didn't run it again. I don't think AI snipers are an issue but AI's HP might be for just EMR8s. He only ran it when there were several humans on my team.
My Lancer is stuck at 5 star, so I didn't try it out myself. But seems like it could be fun and effective in multi-human matches.
