Anyone want to suggest how many points will be needed to win the current Award Playoff Event? I really want those helix rack implants. I think a HR8 Shadow is in my future. I’ve got 19,000 A-Coins hoarded and fortunately there’s a lot of stuff to rank up.  |

It'll depend when you go for it. Looks like you're not in the leaderboard yet, which is good. When you planning on doing so?
19,000 AC should be way more than you need to get it done. My tips are:
1) Set an alarm to get on 10 minutes before the event ends
2) Calculate up the various AC spending options so you have it all pre-planned what you'll do depending on how many points you need.
3) Get within striking distance (top 4-6) in the last 10 minutes, but wait until the final minute to go for first. It seems like in the last minute there is a lag such that your competitors won't see your score going up. So you can take the prize without them reacting.
Good luck! I really want those implants too but I spent too many ACs on the last event.

I wouldn't be as optimistic as S1E1. These Helix implants are going to be highly sought after, so the bar's going to be set really high. Using up all or most of your 19k A-Coins is pretty much a given. Entering 10 minutes prior to the end of the event, guarantees that these 19k A-Coins won't be nearly enough to make it in the Top 3. Unfortunately, I can't think of a good timing for such a competitive event... you'll need a wealth of dry powder in any case. Perhaps half a day before the end - providing you also play continuously from that moment on, to gather as many points as possible. It's a toal guess, zo. |

OK, salvia has said before that it is better to get on the leaderboard 30 min - 1 hour before the event ends if the plan is to qualify the night of. Going on the leaderboard in the last few minutes is like getting on it right at the beginning - it'll be crazy. Just to clarify, when I was saying set an alarm 10 minutes before, I didn't mean to get on the leaderboard. I assumed you'd already be on the board and just have enough time to adjust calculations and get close to 1st, so the last 1 minutes rush in points doesn't take more time than you have left. I have never gone on the board the night the event ends, so I would go with salvia's 30-60min before, if you're going to do that. myself, I would recommend going for something early AM tonight (like 1am/2am) if you can. That has worked for me before. I tried the morning of (like 11am) last week and despite getting on when few people were playing, I wasn't exactly thrilled with numbers (they weren't that bad though). |

I entered the ranking very late, maybe 20 minutes before the end - just to get the 6 fortune tokens at the end of the main quest. To my surprise, the 1st player of the ranking only needed 7.950 points.  Here's hoping that OU812? reached a nice spot 🙂 |
