Anyone else seen Sisu?
Wrapping up my second watch now. I rented through Amazon — at $20 (comparable you two tickets + a refreshment or two at my local) I’m going to get my money’s worth, dammit. It has a lot of John Wick parallels. Similar to Wick, there’s a need to suspend some disbelief. There’s also some Tarantino in it. I liked that it wasn’t preachy and was just fun to watch. It’s a simple story with tight dialogue. Pretty scenery, too.
It’s also not a lot of things. It’s not a sequel. It’s not been ruined by Disney. It’s not a big budget CGI-heavy monstrosity. It’s not woke. It’s not a comic book movie although the protagonist is his own kind of superhero (like Wick).
If you might be interested in an action movie about a man that just wants to be left alone and who just happens to dispatch a lot of Nazis along the way, give Sisu a shot.

Watched this a few weeks ago with my son. AWESOME movie. Some great bad guys… stoic and remorseless hero. Lots of dead Nazi’s.
Highly recommend.
