Recently I saw that a second hanger now costs 1000 gold to purchase and I began to wonder if that is a good investment in the sense that I will have access to the last three levels of the pve.
Is it worth it or does the pve get too hard? Or is it worth building a second hanger just for variety purposes?

If you have enough competitive content to fill a second hangar, go for it, yes it will give variety, but if you dont have that content or the resources to build five extra competitive mechs, I wouldnt bother with it yet

and to be honest, after the 2nd level it gets much tougher

The third one is pretty tough after which, they turn the dial straight to 11. IMO, the 4th and 5th Pt finishes are thumb-numbing as well as behind a pretty big paywall.
edit - I say yes to a second hangar. But don’t do it just for PVE.

Thanks for the thoughts. I was thinking it would pay for itself if I could win the gold on the thrid level. Any bit of extra resources help when you're f2p. Plus I would potentially be able to build a ranged hanger in the process.
