To wait for the 10% increase in 800 meter+ weapons for my Weber Typhon, or just retrain a Captain rank Adrain, and settle for 5%, and additional skills immediately?
Thus is the thoughts that weigh heavy on my mind…

I forget, do u spend any $ on the game? If you dont spend, just work on Adrian instead of waiting to randomly acquire Basil. If you do spend, just get one of the cheap offer on high gold count deal, go to the training center and refresh the three pilots for hire until basil appears. I recall him popping up frequently.

With careful engineering, the damage modifiers from drones, pilot skills, modules, and mothership offer plenty of other options that more than compensate for that mere 5% absence imo, so it is not something I would be overly concerned about, especially if I am not going to spend on gold to get Basil, and I also am not one to wait around for the random chance that pilot will come to me free. Another major damage factor, which you are already aware, is whether or not you hit your target or an energy shield, so careful choices on target and timing are critical for those particular weapons. |

I’d say to stick with Adrian. I cannot imagine that 5% will come back to bite you much, if at all. Plus, if you ever decide Webers are not your thing, you do not have to deal with a pilot you leveled just for them.

I am limiting my spending to $20 for silver/gold, $10 for platinum/add’l silver gold, and one equipment purchase a month. 40% off day came really early. Gonna be a white knuckler month…lol. Saw the MK2 Ravana with MK2 Jaws for $14.99 and I told myself NO! NO! NO! NO!!! NOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Gonna be a long June. |
