It seems odd to be that Pixonic came out with Crisis and the Reaper. Because the 9/11 was an inside job part of my brain is seeing the following:
Hawk comes out, reflects back some of the damage to the attacker. Sales explode. Nerf effectively kills desire for it.
Weather chickens come out, reflecting back some/most damage to the attacker. With the right pilot, chicken runs on stealth. Sales explode. Even nerf doesn’t affect it too much as opposed to the grind of new gear.
Weather chickens are replaced by Seraph, which was just about impossible to kill in the air. With the right pilot, kiss your squad goodbye. Sales explode. Nerf affects it, but still popular.
Skyros comes out: Winged creature on the ground. Lather, rinse, repeat.
The one factor about all of these is the damage reflecting back to the attacker (as well as the defense shield, and flight, of course).
Then comes out the Crisis and Reaper! It bypasses ALL defense mitigation AND shielding!
We saw WolfBLOOD7! (Happy now?!?). (sorry if I got the name wrong. Someone will whip me bloody later) make a video and a fabulous buffet of freshly killed weather chicken and angel for us. With some Titan for dessert.
Am I the only one thinking this?

I think it makes perfect sense. Pixonic brought out something OP, then waited until lots of people bought it, to make maximum profit, then nerfed it by adding guns that mitigate that defense. Now all those people have to spend more money on newer gear, and maybe even the new bot with the newest weapons, making them a ton more money. Those who didn't spend for new gear will fall victim to those who did, and next event all this will be nerfed and the cycle will repeat.
Wolfpool7 lol

wolfpool, awesome!! side note, it’s the usual, pix puts out broken stuff, especially the “new” company version of them. Milk it for profits, then nerf it to be comparable to the rest, making way for the next broken op gear.

Heh, I just brought this up in another thread recently... ............... to implement Pigsonics revenue generation strategy. It really doesnt matter if game mechanics work right, or are fair, its whatever brings the $$$$ in. They really hit a gold mine when they tried out the infamous electric-spaz-bird approach (itself a culmination of various BS nerfs/bugs/cheats before it, now all in one package), and you'll see that end-to-end lifecycle from now on with any new BS meta that comes out. Mars and Angler are next on the list I suspect. May take a month, or 6, or a year, but it will happen. They will nerf Angler and Mars in some capacity, or invent new things to bypass their super-powers. We're already there it seems, lol. I think the days of long-term dominance are gone (e.g. Seraph) for any given bot. Too much money to be made with short life-cycles.
They have a strategy that draws in people with more money than they know what to do with, as well as all the suckers who fall for it.

This is how they power creep without making things ramp up too quickly. The new gear counters the old gear instead of straight-up overpowering it, which helps keep the power scaling a little more in line. This also explains why some older gear like Hawk and Typhon stick around or make a comeback if the meta does not counter them too badly.

Which is why a talented player can beat a player who just buys the expensive toys and mashes the buttons. It’s about tactics.

Yep, the game is a racket for sure... YouTubers who visited their nice facility shows nicely dressed, pretty people with smiles and friendly atmosphere and they want to show that they are running a legitimate wholesome and upright fair company... but those running this phony front are lying greedy *s, all of them! They run a business totally opposite of anything fair and legitimate.. that's for certain..
