Everybody here always tells that Orkans are the ultimate weapon. The peculiarity about that: I don´t have any and I´m very successful, too. I play in low gold tier (android). The last days I had a win rate of 72%, I often finish top three and I´m satisfied with my gold income. I prefer mid range fighting to knife fighting, the extreme short range of the orkans was always the reason why I didn´t want to have them. A few days ago I spend all my gold for the 5th slot, but now I soon have collected another 1200 gold and could afford an Orkan. Should I get one? Or something else? Here is my current hangar:
Lancelot(9)+2xTulumbas(9)+Ancile(10) Carnage(10)+Zeus(10)+Trident(10) Gareth(11)+Aphid(11)+Taran(10) Griffin(8)+2xHydras(10)+2xSpiral(10) Natasha(9)+2xGekko(11)+Trebuchet(11)+Trident(8)
Besides these I still have the following things in my storage: Stalker(10) Rhino(8) Taran(8) 2xMagnum(8) Dual-Molot(7) Punisher(8) Thunder(7) 4xCossak(5) Fujin, Rajin and other silver bots, all unleveled
As you can see, my Gareth is the only true knife figther. If I buy an Orkan, I think he will be best to test it. Any suggestions?

Toss one of your high-level Tulu's on your Gary & pretend it has 300m range to see how you like it. Keep in mind the Ork will work better but you will get the feel for aiming your aphids & rockets around corners. Your best bet would be to try & get on the test server so you can try before you buy

Orkans aren't the weapon for midrange shmucks who are nowhere near the action and just lob projectiles too scared to get hurt. It is for people who fight, not just scamper around and pick off targets in ALL of their 5 bots.

I agree with OP, I prefer to buy Gareth first before Orkans.

Take the gold and buy another gekko that would be more useful for the original OP. This just goes to show the dumb luck involved in a high winning %.

Op seems like he lies to get damage while everyone else on his team does all the work to collect beacons.

I believe no one in the blue team can last longer then you with 2 mid range + 1 sniper + 1 home missiles (include a Tulumbus ancilelot). You have just waste your 5k Au for 5th slot. If 3 of your mid range or sniper die, I believe your team won't have any knife fighter left. Why you need the 4th one?
At least Give your Lancelot 2 Taran and make it Ancilelot and help your team to cap or defence beacon. Your Nat shouldn't mix trident with trebs. At 600m, Zeus and trident are much better than trebs. More than 600m, your trident is useless.

I think you would find that if you purchase and level Orkans, with your bot and gear levels, you would be in Diamond Leagues pretty quickly. You seem to have adopted a playstyle that keeps you in lower leagues with higher gear, by using long range weapons. If you enjoy that, skip the Orkans. If you want to raise your damage output and league levels, then Orkans, combined with an adjustment to your playstyle, will accomplish that.
Note that I am not suggesting one course of action over another. Only you know what will make you happiest.

The last two posters have excellent points.
Snk gives some great hangar advice with the ancilot and the weapon mismatch on the Natasha which will help you get into a higher tier. The advice is to the point and not terribly expensive all things considered.
However, heavy panda counterbalances this point with something we all forget--you don't need to move up in tiers if you are enjoying the game. Take the sniper if that is what you like. Mismatch the gun ranges if it makes you feel better. Let your entire team die as you take random potshots from far away if that is the play style you prefer. It's a game--play it how you like (but don't be surprised when people judge you for it).

Now I am not judging just making suggestions

This is why I think we need to have both a hanger based MM que for people who want to just chill & do what they like even if it's not doing their team any favors & a separate competitive League system for more serious players that are performance oriented. Kind of like pick-up hockey on a Sunday vs. a league that ends in a tournament/trophy.

So what I am seeing is you essentially have a 10/10 hangar and are playing in low gold.
In Android, the average level for that hanger from my experience is mid-diamond. I am almost mid diamond with a 9/9 hangar.
I am guessing with that hangar that you get pretty high damage, but have also had to sit with the beacons red, timer running down and nothing you can do about it.
With that style of play, even with something like a 12/12 hangar you are not going to get to the truely high leagues. Of course that is totally up to you.

I can't get over the Tulumbas Ancilot!! I know this is off topic, but putting two tulus on an Ancilot is extremely inefficient. It's a waste of the 5000 au you spent on the bot as it is meant to be knife fighter! And two tulus even at level 12 don't do enough damage alone to justify their placement on any bot as the only weaps..
As to your question, well, if you own a Tulu Ance then Orkans are definitely not for you.
Better get a Zeus for the Nat instead of that Trebuchet..
