Been playing overwatch lately

I've been playing overwatch lately and my favorite character in the roster is Zarya. It's pretty striking how similar her abilities are to Absorber Shielded robots in War Robots; she has a big particle cannon that does little damage, but she has these purple bubble shields that she can put on herself or her teammates. If enemies shoot the bubbles, it powers up the particle cannon and turns it into a mini deathstar.

I wonder, did the War Robots devs take inspiration from OW? I'm 80% sure Zarya has been around for longer than Ares.
