This mech and loadout will serve you well all the way into top leagues, worth investing. In your league the flames are especially good against Shell, Arthur, Raijin, Lance, Galahad, and Tyr.

May the odds be tilted more than usual in your favor. That setup, that little beautiful bringer of charbroiled death was one of the first spider builds I put together. I still run it, albeit the arachnid with dragon blazes and a freedom igniter. You will do well in the knife fighting arena, promise. What pilot and modules you run with it? If I may, I run my main flaming spider with Raphael petit pilot (30% more flame spread), beak drone, maxed balanced unit, immune amp, and repair amp. Now the true test. Flames go 350m, so you are gonna really have to up your creep game. BUT, you start bbqing bots they won’t wanna stay close. Fliers are its Achilles heal. Last bit of advice, borrow a page from the book of Khepri; up close, dont just go nose to nose, CIRCLE. Drives pilots bonkers, but also messes up their targeting while the flame spread ensures an even crisping on the poor reds. Enjoy that monster of mayhem, you chose wisely. **edit** I added my pilot skills as a reference. It’s done well by my for yrs now.

I wanted to make a strong tank and tricky was all I had in mind

I wanted to make a strong tank and tricky was all I had in mind Really depends on your play style. I gave up repair for quantum radar on two spiders, one with radiation weps, the other a sherrif magnetar/pulsars. I run regular repair on the other two. With the mods I have set on them I don’t have the itch to hit the repair button as much, they are great tanks. I put Trixie on my Weyland healer hangar. Honestly you have to find your balance between power and health. The bot is already a monster, especially in your league. Before Trixie, and that specific build when pilots were still in infancy, I went with Petit and subbed in two balanced units for extra health(9%) AND POWER(8%) each. So double that with a repair amp, it’s tanky as hell. So I juiced the pilot up to aid with power. I even ran a triple balanced unit on most spiders in lower leagues and they were beasts. One medium and two light wep slots you give up a lot of power in todays meta. So my 4 legged ladies kinda hover around the 75% health/25% power region. Plus, I’m an annoying pilot, if they come out swinging for the fences early, I creep in close to spawn or home beacon, get their attention, then proceed to be as big of a PITA as possible. I am a great distraction for my team to advance.

I respect everyone who can run flames these days, because they are 「fluffernutter」ing impossible to aim. I'm sure enough of you have seen that clip from my 100 reasons video - that happens every time I use them.

But you also have to maneuver strategically and really sneak up on targets. Knife fighting is not just nose to nose shoot a bunch and hope you outlast the other.
