My money days are over. I'm totally unmotivated to buy tokens that are wayyyy overpriced for what you MIGHT get. My gold token purchases ended when Pix only offered lame-o Space Support crap and that was months ago. Seeing these idiots with multiple Ardent Imugis etc, it just hurts my head. You do you, whale-boy.
Stupid Pix: They are handing the game to mega-whales and hackers and the whales are a finite resource for them. Whale membership will not grow while they keep this up.
I buy very cheap resources and when they offer new bots/Titans at mega discounts, I'll buy those.

I am quickly losing interest in this game. It is becoming a chore just to log into. I ask myself why? Why? WHY??? do I continue to do this to myself.

I've personally never spent any amount of money on this game and I must say that it's been hard, but it's been fun.
Especially now, the best way to get money is the extermination mode. I'm finally going to have enough platinum to get my favorite titan weapons Cuirassier and Gendarme.
I've had the same robots for years, and used my Ares through hell and high water, through Ao Jun, Fafnir and Orochi.
I guess my point is that you can have a good hell of a time without worrying a dime about dimes, and in the case where the lack of viable resources makes you sad, put the dimes down.

The event rewards have been garbage but I haven't been surprised. It's just silver for me.
What IS interesting is that I feel like through ad views, I'm getting more resources than ever, and I'm coming close to maxing a bunch of MK2 weapons. Don't get me wrong, I've also spent $ on silver, gold, and platinum, but I've already maxed out all of my Titan stuff and gear upgrades is something I enjoy.

the gold chest has been god awful...only mothership components, and chances when you use up all of the free gold coins you won't get a lucky chest

War Robots is a toilet, treat it as such. If you get your freak on by dropping money into the bowl and flushing, War Robots is your calling in life, enjoy. If you want to play a real, competitive, fair game, War Robots is not going to satisfy those requirements, ever.
IMHO... By any measure, War Robots is akin to illegal rigged gambling. In one fashion or another, you are going to lose.

I occasionally shell out some for resources because I want to try some oddball thing where I'm too impatient to farm the resource forever (namely platinum). That said, I've been far more frugal in April and now stretching into May. I spent a little bit at the very beginning of May then said, "that's enough" and closed up the wallet for the rest of this month.

I picked up the Warren Ozu pilot for 1.99 today because it's so hard to get and I want to mess around with an Ares build. Other than that, I've been holding off on spending more until I see how the new stuff that drops in a couple weeks changes the game.
